Your role and key responsibilities

As a part of the operations department, you will take care of all production-related activities within the battery cell production. Our responsibilities vary from planning, constructing, and rolling out the forthcoming battery cell factories.  

Your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Perform Tear Down Analyses and Coin Cell Preparation on in-process, finished products, and raw materials to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Support the development, refinement, and execution of testing methods, including planning and ramp-up of Tear Down Analysis procedures.
  • Analyze test results using statistical tools and generate comprehensive reports to support decision-making processes within the laboratory.
  • Work closely with the PowerCo Global Laboratory Network and experts in Salzgitter and Canada to continuously improve standards and processes aligned with the Standard Factory concept.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and calibration, assist in procurement, and provide training and guidance to laboratory staff on testing procedures and quality protocols.
  • Rotating shifts (including weekends and holidays)
  
 
What you bring to the team
  • Master’s degree or higher in electrochemistry, chemical engineering or comparable studies. 
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of electrochemistry and comprehensive understanding of automotive batteries.
  • Knowledge of analytical instruments, principle, and application (Glovebox, Potentiostat, Battery Cycler, Cell Opening Tools and Procedures...).
  • Good laboratory understanding, good communication and presentation skills. 
  •  At least 3-years’ experience in analysis laboratory. 
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Language: Fluent in English.
  • Technical Proficiency: Very good skills in MS Office.
