Our responsibilities vary from planning, constructing and rolling out the forthcoming battery cell factories. Furthermore, planning and implementing operating functions such as logistics, quality, production and plant management is also key elements within the area of operations

  
 
About the Role
  • Lead the obtention and update of all environmental activity-related permits (e.g. AAI) required for plant-start up and operation.
  • Lead the screening of applicable environmental and activity-related regulations that must be fulfilled before the start of activity and during the operations of the gigafactory.
  • Support the technical preparation and submission of environmental permit applications and start of activity of the gigafactory, in collaboration with external consultants.
  • Design and implement a compliance framework to ensure fulfillment of all conditions outlined in the environmental and activity permits, in collaboration with external consultants.
  • Ensure regulatory readiness for plant commissioning and operations, providing senior-level guidance to internal teams.
  • Act as a technical authority on environmental permitting matters, interfacing with consultants, authorities, and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor changes in regulations and assess implications on environmental compliance and project execution.
  • Provide input to planning, risk analysis, and permitting reporting.
  
 
Key Responsibilities
  • 5+ years of experience in environmental permitting for industrial projects, with direct involvement in AAI processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Deep knowledge of Spanish and EU environmental regulations applicable to industrial facilities.
  • Proven ability to work with authorities, coordinate external consultants, and ensure robust technical documentation.
  • Experience in defining and maintaining environmental compliance systems within operational contexts.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to guide teams across functions.
