Cost Engineer Battery Cell Development (all genders)

Technological development I Professionals

With whom you will CELLebrate

The mission has started. We proudly announce that in our Battery Valley we are starting our own battery cell production and the ramp up of our worldwide headquarters for global cell manufacturing. The CTO organization takes care of the battery cell development. Our responsibility includes research, predevelopment of materials and components, series development, prototyping, testing and analysis of battery cells.

How you will CELLebrate

  • Prepare regular cost reports and presentations for Technology management review, highlighting key cost drivers, variances, and cost-saving initiatives. Provide recommendations for cost improvement opportunities.
  • Develop accurate cost estimates for new battery cell projects. Work closely with engineering teams to understand development processes and product specifications.
  • Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to conduct detailed cost analysis for battery cell development projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs. Identify cost drivers and areas for potential cost savings or cost avoidance
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization within the battery cell projects. Implement cost reduction strategies.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to evaluate vendor proposals and negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements.
  • Establish cost tracking mechanisms to monitor development project expenses against budgeted costs. Analyze variances and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure projects remain within budgetary constraints.
  • Collaborate with finance and develop cost models and simulations to assess the financial impact of different projects. Use cost modeling tools to  evaluate cost trade-offs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance efficiency in battery cell development. Actively seek feedback from stakeholders to identify areas for improvement.
