Our Recruiting Process
Gain insight into our recruiting process at PowerCo. It's important to be aware that this process may diverge depending on whether you're applying for a management position.
1 Online Application+
Start your PowerCo journey by creating an account with your email and setting a password. The mandatory component of your application is your CV. However, we encourage you to consider providing additional application documents that help us to get to know you better as a person, such as a Cover Letter, educational certificates, or other relevant materials, if you choose to enhance your application.
The good news is, you have the flexibility to return to your application and make edits at any time. Simply log in to the career portal using your account credentials. There's no need to recreate your entire application every time.
Here's a valuable tip: Tailoring your CV to the specific position you're applying for can significantly increase your chances of standing out. 2 Get to know+
During a 30-minute call, you'll have the opportunity to connect with one of our recruiters or hiring managers to discuss your motivation for choosing PowerCo and the specific role, to review your CV and to discuss questions about your professional experience, such as past projects and roles.
Therefore, this call serves as an initial meeting to assess your fit for the company and the specific position you've applied for. We're excited to get to know you!
3 Technical Interview+
You managed to get to the next round? Congrats! You will receive an invitation to our technical interview via email, which will typically be conducted online exclusively with the hiring department.
The technical interview is a critical part of our selection process, designed to assess your expertise and suitability for the position you've applied for. Our goal is to gain a comprehensive understanding of your abilities and potential fit within the team.
Here's a valuable tip: We recommend reviewing the job description and reflecting on your experiences before the interview to ensure you're well-prepared.
4 HR Interview+
Following a successful technical or professional interview, the next step in our recruitment process is an online interview with your recruiter. This interview is typically conducted online to accommodate your schedule.
In the HR interview, we invite you to introduce yourself, discuss your motivations, and share what sparked your interest in PowerCo. We'll ask questions about your career, personal development, and assess your personal qualities to discover your fit within our company.
Our conversation will revolve around your values, your approach to navigating complex situations, and your perspective on teamwork. We'll also evaluate your readiness to assume responsibility and your ability to embrace challenges. This interview is a chance for us to better understand you and ensure your alignment with our values, including the importance of Integrity, and our company culture.
5 Offer+
Are we a match? Shortly after your HR interview, we’ll inform you about our decision. If you were successful, you’ll receive a call from your responsible recruiter to negotiate your salary and learn more about the benefits of work at PowerCo. Once you accepted the conditions, you'll receive the official offer letter, signed by our management.
6 Onboarding and Contract+
At PowerCo, your journey starts with us even before you walk through our doors. We can't wait to welcome you to the team!
Preboarding at PowerCo: Your journey begins here. At PowerCo, we've got your back, no matter where you're coming from. We're here to answer all your questions and offer full support with your relocation. Our dedicated team will reach out to you approximately two weeks before our exciting Welcome Day, providing you with an invitation and a checklist of essential documents to bring along, such as your passport and certificates.
Welcome Day Our Welcome Day isn't just a local affair - it's a dynamic, cross-border experience. We're proud to offer a hybrid Welcome Day, connecting you not only with your fellow team members in your location but also with colleagues in our offices in Salzgitter and Canada. It's a fantastic opportunity to expand your network and make global connections from day one. And speaking of your first day, we've got your technical needs covered, too. Our expert IT department will be on hand to help you set up your personal smartphone and laptop, ensuring you're ready to hit the ground running.
