How you will CELLebrate

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Production Foreman to lead our blue collar team on the shopfloor. This key position is responsible for managing daily production operations, ensuring safety, quality, and equipment utilization, while driving continuous improvement and compliance with industry standards.

Scope & Objectives

  • Lead and manage the blue collar workforce, including goal setting, performance monitoring, review, and employee feedback.

  • Ensure workplace safety and adherence to health regulations to prevent accidents.

  • Maintain product quality standards and achieve equipment utilization goals.

  • Comply with VDA, Lean, and EHS audit requirements.

  • Oversee personnel qualification, proposing and organizing training based on individual and team needs.

  • Ensure compliance with PowerCo’s code of integrity.

  • Organize production resources (personnel, machines, materials) efficiently based on profitability and production planning.

  • Manage production preparation including foreman office, restrooms, and shopfloor assist tools.

  • Control stock and ordering of consumable materials.

  • Support creation, review, and update of production documentation in collaboration with the engineering team.

  • Ensure effective communication and information flow across departments.

  • Participate in the recruitment process for production operators.

  • Support budget planning and monitor production expenses to identify deviations and suggest corrective measures.

  • Ensure maintenance tasks are carried out within the team or through specialized teams.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical and disciplinary leader for the blue collar team, ensuring adherence to company rules.

  • Manage daily shopfloor operations to fulfill production plans; reorganize activities in response to unplanned situations.

  • Implement production standards and provide timely feedback on deviations for continuous improvement.

  • Participate in second-level problem-solving alongside quality and process engineering teams.

  • Foster a continuous improvement environment.

  • Make decisions regarding shopfloor activities.

  • Maintain and improve team competencies aligned with business needs.

 

Key Tasks

Safety at Work
Ensure health and safety standards are met to protect all blue collar employees.

Staff Management

  • Build a collaborative team culture that values diversity, constructive conflict, and unity.

  • Coach, mentor, onboard new employees, and provide career development opportunities.

  • Use performance management processes to set goals, provide feedback, and recognize employee contributions.

  • Handle disciplinary actions with HR support when necessary.

KPI and Routine Work

  • Plan and implement efficient systems to meet departmental goals.

  • Allocate resources effectively to achieve KPIs.

  • Communicate transparently and lead meetings to discuss progress and resolve issues.

  • Collaborate with other departments to manage interface problems.

Staff Training & Qualification

  • Train new employees per the qualification matrix.

  • Develop and execute training plans with production engineers.

  • Encourage enthusiasm for continuous learning.

Workplace 5S
Maintain 5S standards in production and adjacent areas.

Process Materials & Tool
Manage production material gathering, tryouts, stock control, and purchasing.

  
 
What else can you bring

 

  • At least 3 years of professional experience.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience leading teams of at least 10 to 35 people.
  • Meister, Technician, or a comparable qualification. If their qualification is different but equivalent (e.g., an FP instead of a Technician), it’s still valid.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and handle fast-paced, dynamic shopfloor conditions.

  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

  • Technical background or vocational training in manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.

  • +5 years experience in automotive industry or manufacturing environment and min 2 years people management experience

Working Conditions (Condiciones de Trabajo)
 • Rotating shift work (trabajo a turnos), including weekends and public holidays.
 • Physical demands: lifting, climbing, confined space access.
 • Exposure to mechanical risks, noise, and industrial safety conditions.
 • Full compliance with the Convenio Colectivo Estatal de la Industria Química and Estatuto de los Trabajadores.
