The mission has started. We proudly announce that we are initiating the ramp-up of our own cell manufacturing in Valencia. As we move forward, the role of the Environment Expert is crucial for overseeing and enhancing our environmental management practices at PowerCo Spain. This position is instrumental in implementing sustainable environmental strategies, focusing on waste disposal management and reducing our ecological footprint.

 

How you will CELLebrate

As an Environment Expert at PowerCo Spain, you will:

  • Establish, maintain, and standardize environmental management systems, with a specific focus on waste disposal management for our battery cell factories.
  • Further develop and refine the waste disposal concept for our Sagunto plant, ensuring it aligns with current environmental standards and practices.
  • Provide support and expert advice to specialists and managers in factory planning and operations to ensure the successful implementation of all environmental policies and regulations.
  • Drive initiatives aimed at reducing the CO2 footprint and minimizing waste impact in the lifecycle assessment of all plant practices.
  • Liaise with state agencies and other regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Regularly conduct internal and external audits and prepare detailed reports for PowerCo SE headquarters, the VW Group, and relevant state agencies.
  • Coordinate and conduct training sessions on environmental and waste management within the plant, fostering a culture of sustainability and compliance.
 

What you need for our CELLebration

  • A degree in Environmental Sciences or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in environmental management, specifically within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective environmental management systems, particularly in waste disposal.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of effectively liaising with regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in conducting environmental audits and reporting to senior management and external bodies.
  • Ability to lead and inspire change towards more sustainable practices within the organization.
