Data Center Infrastructure Expert (all genders)

The mission has started. We proudly announce that we are starting the ramp up of our own cell manufacturing in Valencia. In this, the tasks and requirements of the unit Information Technology are varied. IT takes care all matters relating to information technology, i.e. electronic data processing. The responsibilities vary from IT-infrastructure to digitization of the organization to the operational use of electronic data processing throughout the organization. 

Join PowerCo's dynamic IT team as our Data Center Infrastructure Expert. With your vast knowledge in server management, storage solutions, and data management, you'll ensure the seamless operation and efficiency of our data centers. Your role will be paramount in ensuring that our infrastructure remains robust, reliable, and meets the evolving needs of the business.
 

• Oversee and administer the setup, maintenance, and optimization of all server configurations within the data center.
• Manage and ensure redundancy in storage solutions, guaranteeing data is always accessible, backed up, and effectively archived.
• Implement and uphold data management policies and protocols, safeguarding data integrity, availability, and security.
• Coordinate with IT teams and vendors to ensure infrastructure meets industry standards and company requirements.
• Continuously monitor and analyze infrastructure performance, implementing improvements as needed.
• Stay updated with the latest in on-premise and cloud technologies, including platforms like AWS and Azure, ensuring PowerCo is leveraging these for optimal performance.

• Strong experience in server management, storage solutions, and data center operations.

• Proficiency in data management and related best practices.

• Familiarity with on-premise and cloud solutions, specifically AWS and Azure.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. However, relevant and substantial experience in the field may compensate for the lack of formal education.

• Relevant certifications, including but not limited to CISCO, Huawei, database platforms.

• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.

• Proficiency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of German is highly desirable.

• Weekend Commitments: Availability for on-call duties during weekends is mandatory for this role.
