The mission has started. We proudly announce that we are initiating the ramp-up of our own cell manufacturing in Valencia. In this exhilarating phase, the Dangerous Goods Officer Expert is critical in managing and overseeing the safety and compliance of hazardous materials at PowerCo Spain. This role demands high-level expertise in ensuring that our operations align with strict safety and environmental standards, making it a cornerstone of our operational integrity and sustainability efforts.

 

How you will CELLebrate

As the Dangerous Goods Officer Expert at PowerCo Spain, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring that all aspects of hazardous material handling, from transportation to storage, comply with safety guidelines.
  • Monitoring and controlling the consumption of hazardous materials to minimize waste and ensure adherence to company and environmental standards.
  • Developing and enforcing procedures for the safe handling of hazardous materials in new and ongoing projects.
  • Utilizing IT systems to monitor and optimize the use of hazardous materials within defined safety parameters.
  • Innovating logistics processes to enhance the control and safety of hazardous materials handling.
  • Representing our logistics concerns in company-wide and industry-wide forums focused on green logistics and zero-impact solutions.
  • Coordinating priorities for the transportation and storage of materials based on operational needs and capacities.
  • Conducting supplier audits to prevent regulatory penalties and ensuring compliance with federal and environmental standards.
  • Managing emergency response actions for hazardous material spills within our facilities.
  • Analyzing and processing critical safety information related to hazardous materials and transportation.
 

What you need for our CELLebration

  • A post-secondary degree in Logistics, Environmental Science, Safety Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in hazardous materials management, preferably in an industrial or battery cell production environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of safety and environmental regulations applicable to hazardous materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex information and implement effective safety and logistics solutions.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, capable of working effectively in a dynamic, high-stakes environment.
  • Proven track record of decision-making in emergency situations and a staunch commitment to safety and quality standards.
 

What else can you bring

  • Additional experience in battery cell manufacturing or production.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific environmental and safety regulations.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for supplier audits and compliance checks.
