The mission has started. We proudly announce that in our Battery Valley we are starting our own battery cell production and the ramp up of our worldwide headquarters for global cell manufacturing. As an student in PowerCo's Corporate Security and Health department, you will play an active role in shaping a standardized process landscape for our global security organization. At the end of your time at PowerCo, you will not only have a comprehensive understanding of an international security organization but also possess in-depth knowledge of operational and strategic processes. Our young team is, among other things, responsible for the security organization (site security and fire protection) and occupational health across three locations worldwide (Salzgitter, Valencia in Spain, and St. Thomas in Canada).
We develop standards and processes, including detailed work instructions, which are implemented at the respective sites and adapted to any local requirements.
  
 
Your role and key responsibilities

To support our Corporate Security and Health team, we are looking for a motivated working student who will assist in the development and organization of a globally standardized management system in the fields of health management and fire protection, and who will jointly implement and ensure a continuous improvement process for our workflows.

The specific focus areas will be defined together, but will particularly include:

  • Analysis and evaluation of existing processes
  • Development of a structured methodology for the continuous improvement of existing processes
  • Creation of a systematic approach for documentation and knowledge management
  • Support in the revision and implementation of a PowerCo-wide health strategy
  • Conducting market and technology analyses to identify innovative methods and systems
  • Target group – specific preparation of communication materials in German and English
  • Regular presentation and preparation of results in German and English
  
 
What you bring to the team
  • Ongoing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with completed undergraduate studies, preferably with a focus on management (e.g. HR, health, fire protection, emergency services, business administration, law, etc.)
  • Professional interest in occupational health management, fire protection, and working in the automotive industry, with a focus on battery cell production
  • Strong analytical skills as well as a structured and conscientious way of working
  • Goal-oriented and performance-driven work style
  • Creativity, curiosity, and willingness to learn
  • Strong team spirit, empathy, and excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to work on-site at the PowerCo location in Salzgitter at least part-time
  
 
What makes you stand out
  • Initial experience in process management
  • Experience in project management and collaboration within international teams
  • Interest in working with Content-Management-System (CMS) and Power BI
  • Very good MS Office skills, especially PowerPoint
  • Very good practical knowledge in using common AI tools
  • Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
