Unsere Mission ist gestartet. Wir beginnen im Battery Valley in Salzgitter mit unserer eigenen Batteriezellproduktion und dem Ramp-up unseres Headquarters für die weltweite Zellfertigung. Der Bereich Beschaffung stellt die Schnittstelle zum Lieferantenmarkt dar und verantwortet damit einen Großteil der Wertschöpfung. Die Zuständigkeiten reichen vom Rohstoff-Einkauf über das Lieferanten-Management und den Anlagen-Einkauf bis hin zum Value Engineering.

Your role and key responsibilities
|
As an intern in General Procurement/Energy Procurement, you will support the team in managing and optimizing sourcing and purchasing processes across different categories, with a focus on energy supply topics.
- Procurement process support: Assist in end-to-end procurement activities, including supplier screening (RfI), tendering processes (RfQ/RfP), bid evaluation, and contract preparation.
- Market & supplier analysis: Conduct research and analysis on supplier markets, industry trends, cost developments, and regulatory environments to support sourcing decisions, esp. with regard to energy markets.
- Supplier management: Support the identification, onboarding, and management of suppliers.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., operations, procurement, finance) and external partners to ensure alignment and smooth execution of procurement activities.
- Project support: Assist in procurement-related projects across different regions, supporting coordination, documentation, and tracking of key initiatives.
- Reporting & presentations: Prepare analyses, reports, and presentations to support decision-making and communicate procurement results to internal stakeholders.

What you bring to the team

- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Engineering, Energy Economics, Energy Management or a related field
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Interest in procurement, sourcing, and supplier management
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Proactive mindset and structured way of working
- Fluent in English (German or Spanish language skills are a plus)
