The mission has started. We proudly announce that in our Battery Valley we are starting our own battery cell production and the ramp up of our worldwide headquarters for global cell manufacturing. In this, the tasks and requirements of the unit Information Technology are varied. IT takes care all matters relating to information technology, i.e. electronic data processing. The responsibilities vary from IT-infrastructure to digitization of the organization to the operational use of electronic data processing throughout the organization. 

 

How you will CELLebrate

  • Providing technical leadership to guide strategic business customers to successful implementations on data projects, ranging from architectural and security design to development and deployment best practices
  • Creating best practices assets and thought leadership content to be used by the wider field engineering team
  • Ensuring the scalability, security and availability of the data infrastructure
  • Collaborating with other data architects and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop data-driven solutions
  • Optimizing the performance and scalability of the data infrastructure
 

What you need for our CELLebration

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
  • 6+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics
  • Excellent knowledge of programming languages such as Python as well as data query languages like SQL
  • Ability to design highly performant, scalable, secure and cost-effective cloud-based data solutions, and articulate architectures and design choices to Business units
  • Hands-on experience working with MPP data warehouse appliances (Oracle Exadata, Teradata, IBM Netezza) or cloud data warehouses (Amazon Redshift, Azure Synapse, Snowflake)
  • Experience with design and implementation of a broad range of data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL, OLTP, OLAP, and ETL/ELT
  • Deep knowledge of development tools and best practices for data engineers including CI/CD, unit and integration testing, plus automation and orchestration
  • Experience working in an agile environment (Scrum/ KANBAN/ SAFe) as well as Documentation (arc42) and white-boarding skills
  • Fluent in German and English
 

What else can you bring

  • Experience with containerization and container orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes 
  • Certifications from Azure & Databricks is a plus
  • Strong communication skills to present complex topics in a way that is appropriate for the target group
  • Ability to work in a team, high degree of self-initiative
