With whom you will CELLebrate

The mission has started. We proudly announce that in our Battery Valley we are starting our own battery cell production and the ramp up of our worldwide headquarters for global cell manufacturing. The CTO organization takes care of the battery cell development. Our responsibility includes research, predevelopment of materials and components, series development, prototyping, testing and analysis of battery cells.

How you will CELLebrate

  • Design and evaluate new and already commercialized separators to match the requirements from our customer specifications.
  • Plan and execute experiments together with our development team. Plan and carry out efficient experimental campaigns that provide relevant information about battery separators and give recommendations for implementation.
  • Carry out detailed investigations to find causative relationships between material properties of separators and battery cell performance.
  • Plan and realize experiments starting from laboratory scale to pilot plant.
  • Characterize separators by chemical, physical, and electrochemical methods and figure out means to predict cell performance based on separator testing.
  • Closely work together with cell design experts to scale the findings on experimental level to full cell scale.
  • Lead technical discussions with separator material suppliers. Stay up to date regarding the newest developments in separator technology and align these with PowerCo’s targets.
  • Navigate within a dynamic environment and consider non-expert audiences in your communication of technical results. Make your planning and technical thought process visible and understandable to the people around you, from managers to technicians.

What you need for our CELLebration

  • Practical experience in battery cell R&D, preferably in an industrial environment.
  • Proven track record in evaluating separators.
  • Business fluent English language skills.

What else can you bring

  • Strong analytical competence.
  • Outstanding ability to work in a team.
  • High degree of self-initiative and target orientation.
  • Structured and responsible way of working.
  • Communicative skills in an interdisciplinary and international working environment.

What to look forward to

  • Flexible working hours from 28 to 40h per week
  • Possibility of a 4-day-week (up to 35h per week)
  • 30 days paid + 10 days unpaid leave
