The mission has started. We proudly announce that in our Battery Valley we are starting our own battery cell production and the ramp up of our worldwide headquarters for global cell manufacturing. In this, the tasks and requirements of the Product Management are varied. The unit is responsible for all activities relating to the development and industrialization of battery cells. Responsibilities range from the preparation of technology roadmaps and portfolio planning to volume and cycleplan planning and the holistic program management for global battery projects.

 

How you will CELLebrate

This position is to drive VW’s in-house Unified cell pre-development projects to meet performance, timeline, and cost targets. This position will steer and coordinate daily activities in multidisciplinary project teams (e.g., product development, quality, product management, procurement, finance) to achieve overall project goals for defined product delivery. As an Engineering Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the pre-development process from materials to battery cells for our next generation cell product portfolio, coordinating multi-departmental approaches and conflicts, and preparing documents for management and committees meetings. 

 

 

  • Driving daily activities to ensure program progress to plan and to meet overall program objectives
  • Coordinating and steering multidisciplinary project teams to achieve battery cell pre-development roject goals from timeline, cost, and performance perspective
  • Responsible for working methods and establishment of self-organization
  • Preparation, moderation and documentation of team events in an IT-system
  • Collection and preparation appropriate information, supporting data, and documents for upper management and committees
     
 

What you need for our CELLebration

  • Master or higher degree in science, technology, or engineering with several years of industry experience
  • Deep understanding battery materials and cells and cell manufacturing processes
  • Understanding of Agile concept and method and comprehensive experience in engineering project management
  • Business fluent in English
  • Outstanding team spirit, strong organizational skills and good communication and problem solving skills 
  • Willingness to travel international (on Business Trips)
