The mission has started. We proudly announce that in our Battery Valley we are starting our own battery cell production and the ramp up of our worldwide headquarters for global cell manufacturing. The Purchasing unit is the interface to the supplier market and is thus responsible for a large part of the value creation. The responsibilities range from raw material purchasing to supplier management and plant purchasing to value engineering.
How you will CELLebrate
- Development, coordination and presentation of concepts for identifying energy market risks, as well as corresponding mitigation measures
- Responsibly and independently communicating risks to risk owners and initiating risk management measures where necessary
- Responsibly and independently carrying out complex risk tests, for example in the form of stress tests, simulations or risk audits, taking into account all company decisions and liquidity risk values and carrying out stress tests including calculating the survival period (SVP calculator)
- Responsible and independent implementation of analyses of the highest complexity
- Implementation of a risk monitoring and risk control based on relevant parameters and taking into account all company decisions
- Evaluation of energy contracts (particularly of Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) contracts) regarding technical, commercial, financial, and legal risks, as well as development and application of corresponding evaluation tools
- Financial screening of energy suppliers and corresponding company structures and identification of potential counter-party risks
- Responsibly and independently reviewing the complex refinancing structure of suppliers for completeness, feasibility and evaluating the results
- Cross-functional interaction with power procurement team and contribution to procurement and nomination processes
- Preparation and presentation of results in management committees
What you need for our CELLebration
- University degree in economics, industrial engineering, energy management, energy trading, or in a comparable field
- Several years of professional experience in risk and project management
- Deep PPA expertise with respect to relevant contract types, pricing structures, risk allocation options, and guarantees of origin (GoOs)
- Strategic thinking and forward-looking action into your everyday work
- Very good quantitative and analytical skills
- Highly developed communication skills
- Fluent in spoken and written German & English
