Material Expert for Current Collector Foils in Battery Cell Development (all genders)

With whom you will CELLebrate

The mission has started. We proudly announce that in our Battery Valley we are starting our own battery cell production and the ramp up of our worldwide headquarters for global cell manufacturing. The CTO organization takes care of the battery cell development. Our responsibility includes research, predevelopment of materials and components, series development, prototyping, testing and analysis of battery cells.

How you will CELLebrate
  • Evaluate new and already commercialized current collector foils for cathodes and/or anodes to match the requirements from our project specifications.
  • Plan and execute experiments together with our development team from laboratory scale to pilot plant. Plan and carry out efficient experimental campaigns that provide relevant information about current collector foils and give recommendations for their implementation into the battery cell.
  • Carry out detailed investigations to find causative relationships between current collector foil properties and how they affect electrode processing, electrode properties and battery cell performance.
  • Lead technical discussions with material suppliers. Stay up to date regarding the newest developments in current collector foil technology and align these with PowerCo’s targets.
  • Technical responsibility for implementation of current collector foil for anode and/or cathode electrodes into PowerCo´s series production within a cross-functional organization.
  • Navigate within a dynamic environment and consider non-expert audiences in your communication of technical results. Make your planning and technical thought process visible and understandable to the people around you, from managers to technicians.

What you need for our CELLebration
  • University degree e.g., in chemistry, electrochemistry, material science, physics, chemical engineering, process engineering or comparable qualification.
  • Practical experience in battery cell and/or current collector R&D, preferably in an industrial environment.
  • Proven track record in binder materials for battery cell development and/or current collector development, preferably with current collector foils with a primer layer.
  • Business fluent English language skills.

What else can you bring
  • Outstanding ability to work in a team.
  • High degree of self-initiative and target orientation.
  • Communicative skills in an interdisciplinary and international working environment.

What to look forward to
  • Flexible working hours from 28 to 40h per week.
  • Possibility of a 4-day-week (up to 35h per week).
