The mission has started. We proudly announce that in our Battery Valley we are starting our own battery cell production and the ramp up of our worldwide headquarters for global cell manufacturing. In this, the tasks and requirements of operations are varied. Operations takes care of all production related activities within the battery cell production. Our responsibilities vary from planning, constructing and rolling out the forthcoming battery cell factories. Furthermore, planning and implementing operating functions such as logistics, quality, production and plant management is also key elements within the area of operations. 

 

How you will CELLebrate

  • Leading the global factory network in terms of Sustainability with the departments Energy Supply, Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) and Energy Management
  • Development and implementation of global strategy in the areas of Energy Supply, LCA and Energy Management together with the relevant specialist functions in the VW Group to ensure meeting PowerCo's CO₂ targets and its financial successes.
  • Developing of strategies and concepts to ensure sustainable and reliable energy procurement
  • Conducting Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) as part of the global ESG Strategy and developing strategies to achieve CO₂ targets
  • Designing and ensuring the application of new technologies for power supply and energy consumption 
  • Conducting national and international technical discussions with suppliers
 

What you need for our CELLebration

  • University degree in the field of energy management, power supply, Industrial engineering, Business or Management, mechanical/electrical engineering or comparable qualifications
  • Several years of practical experience in the area of energy market, LCA and/or Energy Management
  • Profound English language skills and willingness to travel nationally and internationally
  • Leadership skills – ideally international environment
  • Scenario management, systems thinking
  • Above-average ability to cooperate and work

  • Experience in structuring PPA contracts, management of guarantees of origin, and risk management in energy procurement
  • Profound analytical thinking and complex (AI based) modeling experience
