The mission has started. We proudly announce that in our Battery Valley we are starting our own battery cell production and the ramp up of our worldwide headquarters for global cell manufacturing. The Purchasing unit is the interface to the supplier market and is thus responsible for a large part of the value creation. The responsibilities range from raw material purchasing to supplier management and plant purchasing to value engineering.
How you will CELLebrate
- Lead the Procurement of Productive Operating Materials for cell factories with the departments “Energy Procurement” and “Other productive operating materials & scrap sales”
- Build up personnel, market know-how and energy trading capabilities
- Develop and implement the global PowerCo Energy Procurement strategy with regard to requirements in sustainability, economic competitiveness and planning stability in different markets, i.e. Germany, Spain and Canada
- Ensure timely and sustainable provision of productive operating materials, especially green energy
What you need for our CELLebration
- University degree in the field of Business Management, Mathematics, Mechanical/Electrical engineering or comparable qualifications
- Several years of practical experience in leading an Energy Procurement division, ideally in an energy intensive industry
- Deep know-how of German regulatory environment with regard to Energy, as well as ability and willingness to broaden this competency to the Canadian and Spanish regulatory systems
- Experience in risk management in energy procurement
- Scenario management, systems thinking
- Experience in structuring PPA contracts
- Profound German and English language skills and willingness to travel nationally and internationally
- Leadership skills – ideally in an international environment
