Head of Mechanical Processes (all genders)

Our mission has started. We are starting our own battery cell production in Battery Valley in Salzgitter and ramping up our headquarters for global cell production. The CTO organization takes care of the battery cell development. Our responsibility includes research, predevelopment of materials and components, series development, prototyping, testing and analysis of battery cells.

• Defining a technology and innovation strategy for new mechanical processes for cell designs in close alignment with design engineering and advanced product development
• Building and integrating the sub department with all relevant interface partners in design engineering, product (pre-)development, and series production
• Defining and aligning the responsibilities and processes of the new sub department
• Operational management of new projects, including budget responsibility
• Qualification of new mechanical manufacturing processes for the various PowerCo plants
• Networking the sub‑department with external experts, such as suppliers, institutes, and universities

• Broadly skilled with a deep understanding of development and industrialization processes
• Proven experience in building new structures or departments as well as in technology oriented projects
• A strong leadership personality capable of building teams, motivating people, and guiding them through change
• Strategic thinker with strong operational execution skills and sound decision making ability
• Experience in project management and maturity level management
• Proven intensive technical knowledge in mechanical joining processes like welding, glueing, soldering
