The mission has started. We proudly announce that in our Battery Valley we are starting our own battery cell production and the ramp up of our worldwide headquarters for global cell manufacturing. The CTO organization takes care of the battery cell development. Our responsibility includes research, predevelopment of materials and components, series development, prototyping, testing and analysis of battery cells.
How you will CELLebrate
- Managerial responsibility for the sub-department physical analysis laboratory
- Accountability for running and operating an analysis laboratory focusing on physical characterization of lithium-ion battery cell, battery materials, electrodes and electrolytes
- Responsibility for analytical method development regarding the physical characterization of battery cells, their components and raw materials
- Ensuring occupational safety, compliance with environmental rules especially when handling hazardous substances
- Establishment and monitoring of a quality management system
- Hiring personal and developing a growing organization: define new processes to strengthen the laboratory efficiency
- Supporting level releases of lithium-ion cells in pre-development and series projects (A- to C-sample)
- Collaborating with internal and external laboratories
What you need for our CELLebration
- Several years of managerial responsibility with focus on battery cell or material analytics and laboratory management including high level experience in managing international / intercultural teams
- In-depth knowledge in the field of lithium-ion batteries and battery materials and their analytical characterization and state-of-the art analytical tools and methods
- Business fluent English language skills
- Good communication skills in an international and intercultural environment – willingness to travel internationally
- Technical as well as entrepreneurial thinking skills
- Hands-on mentality
What else can you bring
- In-depth experience in battery technology
- Knowledge of the automotive industry
- Experience in the areas of testing/ data management/ quality / occupational safety
- Analytical thinking and high team spirit
- Language skills in Korean or Mandarin are an advantage
