Head of ESS Quality - (all genders)

The mission has started. We proudly announce that in our Battery Valley we are starting our own battery cell production and the ramp up of our worldwide headquarters for global cell manufacturing. This includes ESS (Energy Storage System) & non-automotive applications. The ESS organization takes care of the upstream storage value chain. Our responsibility includes research, pre-development of materials and components, series development, prototyping, testing and analysis of ESS components & storages.

 • Establishment of the ESS QM Team
 • Safeguarding of training and education within the team
 • Responsibility for the adaption and maintenance of the company-wide integrated management system within the ESS unit
 • Implementation of product releases and project approval/project relief process
 • Control of product quality issues for ESS battery cell projects in series production
 • Further development, coordination and decision-making of overarching quality methods and concepts to achieve ESS goals in series projects 
 • Ensuring the certification capability of the ESS unit according to ISO standards and applicable environmental guidelines
 • Cross-functional responsibility for the control and processing of corrective actions to ensure ESS SOP target achievement
 • Execution of internal audits
 • Management of the interface to the customer in corporate product quality aspects

 • Degree in engineering in the field of mechanical/ electrical engineering, production technology, materials science, chemistry or comparable qualification
 • Experienced manager with personnel responsibility. At least 10 years of professional experience 
 • Experience in global corporations or large medium-sized companies (> 1,000 employees)
 • Experience in the automotive or chemical industry preferred
 • At least one professional station with a focus on quality is desired (QM, supplier quality, etc.)
 • Profound English and German language capabilities
 • Experience in product and production companies preferred
 • Leadership experience (in project and line functions)
 • Interest in occasional travel
 • Able to act constructively and in a leading manner in heterogeneous groups
 • Be able to penetrate and structure complex issues, develop solution proposals and prepare decision templates for management decisions
 • Extensive experience in the development and application of QM systems and their establishment in the company 
 • Above average ability to work in a team

 • Confident appearance and high degree of initiative
 • Experience with supplier assessments
 • Knowledge in the field of structured error analysis (Six Sigma, Shainin, etc.)
 • Experience in the field of battery cells and energy storage systems
