The mission has started. We proudly announce that in our Battery Valley we are starting our own battery cell production and the ramp up of our worldwide headquarters for global cell manufacturing. In this, the tasks and requirements of the unit Information Technology are varied. IT takes care all matters relating to information technology, i.e. electronic data processing. The responsibilities vary from IT-infrastructure to digitization of the organization to the operational use of electronic data processing throughout the organization. 

  
 
How you will CELLebrate
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the data center including server hardware, storage systems, core networks and environmental controls.
  • Ensure the availability, performance and reliability of all data center, enterprise and network infrastructure components.
  • Develop and implement procedures for monitoring and managing data center resources including power usage, cooling systems and space utilization. 
  • Oversee the design, implementation and maintenance of the organization's network and security infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement procedures for monitoring and managing all LAN, WAN and Security network infrastructure.
  • Oversee the day-to-day event management and monitoring operations with an IT Command Center. 
  • Coordinate with IT Teams, Stakeholders and service providers for maintenance, repairs and upgrades to data center and network infrastructure.
  • Implement and maintain security protocols and access controls to safeguard sensitive infrastructure and data.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulations and industry regulations.
  • Lead a team of network engineers and data center technicians providing guidance, mentorship and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Conduct regular assessments of Data Center and Network environments to identify vulnerabilities and implement solutions for improvement.
  • Strategic planning, forecasting and steering of multiple locations.
  • Develop, improve and share operational best practices across multiple locations.
  
 
What you need for our CELLebration
  • Bachelor or Master´s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field 
  •  8-10 years of IT Infrastructure and system engineering experience in a 24/7 data center & network environment
  • 3-5 years experience leading teams
  • Experience with enterprise scale infrastructure 
  • Detailed knowledge of ITIL and service management processes 
  • Able to present technical information clearly to a non-technical audience 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills 
  • IT Risk management in an operational environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in German and English 
  
 
What else can you bring
  • Effective project management and facilitation skills 
  •  5+ years of experience with IT infrastructure domains such as compute server platforms, storage server platforms, server components and network infrastructure
  • Appropriate IT Security and Safety awareness
  • Capacity planning and budgetary experience.
