The mission has started. We proudly announce that in our Battery Valley we are starting our own battery cell production and the ramp up of our worldwide headquarters for global cell manufacturing. The CTO organization takes care of the battery cell development. Our responsibility includes research, predevelopment of materials and components, series development, prototyping, testing and analysis of battery cells.
How you will CELLebrate
- Be part of materials team in developing innovative LIB and post-LIB batteries
- Perform material screening and selection by data-driven evaluation based on electrochemical testing and analytics (SEM, PSD, XRD, BET, etc)
- Manage supplier development of materials for improvement of performance, battery life and safety
- Plan and execute DOEs for material optimizations in prototype cells
- Identify intellectual property (IP) topics and organize related research activities
What you need for our CELLebration
- A university degree in chemistry, electrochemistry, materials science, or chemical engineering
- Professional experience in the field of battery cell development/research
- Strong knowledge of electrochemical characterization and common analytical methods
- Excellent time management to work under tight deadlines in volatile start-up company
- Excessive communication skills in a diverse environment (suppliers, experts, technicians, management)
- Excellent English skills (both written and oral)
What else can you bring
- PhD related to the topic of innovative battery materials such as sodium-ion
- Experience with new battery chemistries and designs
- Fluency in other languages (Chinese, Korean, German)
