The mission has started. We proudly announce that in our Battery Valley we are starting our own battery cell production and the ramp up of our worldwide headquarters for global cell manufacturing. The Purchasing unit is the interface to the supplier market and is thus responsible for a large part of the value creation. The responsibilities range from raw material purchasing to supplier management and plant purchasing to value engineering. 

 

 

How you will CELLebrate

  • Steering value engineering activities with R&D, purchasing, production
  • Bottom-up cell cost calculations for cell concept decisions
  • Steering and reviewing material cost evaluations for sourcing process
  • Steering and reviewing equipment and plant costing activities for decision making & budget process
  • Active contribution to design-to-cost process for cell projects
  • Cost engineering contribution in change management
 

What you need for our CELLebration

  • Academic degree (e.g. mechanical engineer or master/bachelor), alternatively technician in a relevant direction
  • Several years practice in several proceedings of roll forming, extrusion molding, cold extrusion, deep drawing, mechanical machining, fine punching/fine blanking.
  • Relevant practice in the material groups aluminum and stainless steel
  • Relevant practice in cross-divisional projects in an automotive manufacturer or supplier
  • In depth understanding of costing methods
  • Language: English fluent, German basic Communication
  • Soft skills:
    •  Analytical skills
    • Team and collaboration
    • Negotiation skills
    • Engineering as well as entrepreneurial mindset
    • Communication skill
