The mission has started. We proudly announce that in our Battery Valley we are starting our own battery cell production and the ramp up of our worldwide headquarters for global cell manufacturing. The Purchasing unit is the interface to the supplier market and is thus responsible for a large part of the value creation. The responsibilities range from raw material purchasing to supplier management and plant purchasing to value engineering.

• Management of value engineering activities with R&D, purchasing, production
• Bottom-up cost calculations for cell components
• Control and review of material cost assessments for the procurement process
• Active contribution to the design-to-cost process for cell components
• Cost engineering contribution to change management

• Successfully completed studies specialising in process engineering, chemical engineering or comparable qualification

• Relevant experience with PVDF and other binders as well as electrolytes for battery cells and their manufacturing processes and cost structures

• In-depth understanding of calculation and analysis methods

• Language skills: English: fluent, German: basic knowledge

• Analytical skills, ability to work in a team and negotiation skills

   

• Knowledge of Chinese and Korean is an advantage
