Who we are

Our mission has started. We are starting our own battery cell production in Battery Valley in Salzgitter and ramping up our headquarters for global cell production. The CTO organization takes care of the battery cell development. Our responsibility includes research, predevelopment of materials and components, series development, prototyping, testing and analysis of battery cells.

  
 
Your role and key responsibilities
  • You develop and qualify new manufacturing processes for electrode production and cell assembly. This includes, in particular, laser- and ultrasound‑based welding processes as well as adhesive, mechanical, and thermal joining methods. The focus lies on the efficiency of the applied technologies and the quality of the resulting joints.
  • Analyze and influence product properties at early stage for new cell concepts
  • Identify process risks and ensure stability
  • Build technical know‑how on materials and processes
  • Manage interfaces between development, production, and suppliers
  • Implement measures to shorten development and ramp‑up times
  
 
What you bring to the team
  • University degree e.g. in Mechanical Engineering, Production/Joining Technology, Mechatronics or comparable qualification
  • Proven and relevant industry experience, preferably in the automotive or cell manufacturing environment
  • Strong technical understanding of different mechanical joining technologies (>5 years of experience)
  • Structured project management skills, continuously and proactively questioning existing processes and solutions and deriving outstanding ideas for improvement (>3 years of experience)
