Who we are

The mission has started. We proudly announce that in our Battery Valley we are starting our own battery cell production and the ramp up of our worldwide headquarters for global cell manufacturing. This includes ESS (Energy Storage System) & non-automotive applications. The ESS organization takes care of the upstream storage value chain. Our responsibility includes research, pre-development of materials and components, series development, prototyping, testing and analysis of ESS components & storages.

  
 
Your role and key responsibilities
  • Programming and implementation of software for EMS that enables the monitoring, control and optimisation of energy storage systems.
  • Development of functions to monitor battery health, including temperature monitoring, state of charge, cell voltage and other key parameters.
  • Developing algorithms to optimise charging and discharging processes to maximise battery efficiency and lifetime.
  • Ensuring interoperability between the EMS and other energy management systems, network infrastructures and IoT devices
  • Perform functional safety analysis and design of software to ensure compliance with ISO 26262, Cyber Security ISO/SAE21434 and other relevant safety standards
  • Work closely with hardware engineers to ensure effective integration of algorithmic solutions into the EMS, including communication protocols such as CAN and Modbus
  • Perform testing and validation of the software to ensure it is reliable and error free.
  • Creating technical documentation, user manuals and training materials for users and technicians.
  
 
What you bring to the team
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer science or a related field
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in EMS SW development
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Java or JavaScript
  • Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded systems development
  • Familiarity with databases (SQL, NoSQL) for storing and managing energy data.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure) to implement scalable solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of development processes according to ISO 26262 and ASPICE
  • Previous work experience in grid-connected or off-grid energy storage projects
  
 
What makes you stand out
  • Basic knowledge of the energy market, grid integration, battery technologies, charging algorithms, energy storage principles and renewable energies.
  • Ability to analyse and visualise data in order to interpret energy storage performance data and develop optimisation strategies 
  • Good knowledge of project management in order to plan and implement software projects efficiently. 
  • Business fluent in English
