With whom you will CELLebrate

The mission has started. We proudly announce that in our Battery Valley we are starting our own battery cell production and the ramp up of our worldwide headquarters for global cell manufacturing. This includes ESS (Energy Storage System) & non-automotive applications. The ESS organization takes care of the upstream storage value chain. Our responsibility includes research, pre-development of materials and components, series development, prototyping, testing and analysis of ESS components & storages.

How you will CELLebrate

  • Lead the development and implementation of advanced SOC, SOH, and battery modeling algorithms for our Energy Storage System’s BMS
  • Utilize MATLAB Simulink for battery behavior modeling and performance simulation
  • Collaborate closely with hardware engineers to ensure effective algorithm integration within the BMS
  • Develop and maintain embedded software for the Energy Storage System’s BMS
  • Deepen understanding of the overall functions and software implementations of the BMS
  • Work in close collaboration with hardware engineers to ensure effective integration of algorithmic solutions with the BMS, including communication protocols such as CAN and Modbus
  • Conduct software functional safety analysis and design, ensuring compliance with ISO 26262 and other relevant safety standards

What you need for our CELLebration

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in embedded software development, specifically focused on BMS and algorithm development
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++
  • Skilled in using MATLAB Simulink for battery system modeling and simulation
  • Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded system development
  • Knowledgeable about battery technologies, charging algorithms, and energy storage principles
  • In-depth understanding of ISO 26262 and ASPICE development processes
  • Previous work experience in grid-tied or off-grid energy storage projects

What else can you bring

  • Extensive understanding and experience with ISO 26262 functional safety standards
  • Familiarity with ASPICE and its application in software development
  • Proficiency with development tools and version control systems, such as SVN or Git

What to look forward to

  • Flexible working hours from 28 to 40h per week
  • Possibility of a 4-day-week (up to 35h per week)
  • 30 days paid + 10 days unpaid leave
  • Mobile work options
  • Relocation support
  • More benefits to come
