The mission has started. We proudly announce that in our Battery Valley we are starting our own battery cell production and the ramp up of our worldwide headquarters for global cell manufacturing. In this, the tasks and requirements of operations are varied. Operations takes care of all production related activities within the battery cell production. Our responsibilities vary from planning, constructing and rolling out the forthcoming battery cell factories. Furthermore, planning and implementing operating functions such as logistics, quality, production and plant management is also key elements within the area of operations. 

 

How you will CELLebrate

  • Worldwide benchmarking of equipment manufacturers and process technologies
  • Continuous improvement / updates of state-of-the-art processes to optimize product quality, minimize invest, production costs and reduce emissions
  • Develop new/alternative concepts for series battery manufacturing
  • Evaluation of process-product-interactions
  • Prepare decisions for tendering and purchasing, e.g. requirements specification, requests for quotation, assessments on offers and resulting decision papers
  • Responsibility for process, technology, and economic efficiency
  • Corporative work in interdisciplinary teams 
 

What you need for our CELLebration

  • Successfully completed bachelor / master’s degree in engineering, chemistry, physics or similar education
  • Several years of experience in series scale manufacturing processes and machines, preferably related to battery cells
  • Understanding of process-product-interactions for battery cells
  • 5+ years of experience about Laser / Ultrasonic / Friction stir welding processes and design of welding assemblies
  • Laser safety, maintenance and quality analysis knowledge for welding processes
  • Knowledge about non-iron materials and metallurgy
  • National and international travel readiness
  • High level of team capability, strong communication and strong ability of self-organization skills
  • Fluent business English
