Operations takes care of all production related activities within the battery cell production. Our responsibilities vary from planning, constructing and rolling out the forthcoming battery cell factories. Furthermore, planning and implementing operating functions such as logistics, quality, production and plant management is also key elements within the area of operations.

  
 
How you will CELLebrate

As a Technical Logistics Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring smo logistics operations, with a primary focus on logistics technologies, including Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS), and conveyor systems, across all project phases—planning, installation, and serial production.
Working closely with the planning departments, you will design and implement the required technical logistics workflows, prioritizing the efficient use and management of logistics equipment.
Key responsibilities include managing the activities of the inhouse technology team and delivering best in class solutions for inhouse logistics technologies.

 

  • Logistics Process deployment, designing and implementing ramp-up and series processes while adhering to quality and cleanliness standards.
  • Operational oversight of the logistics equipment usage to ensure the production supply across the entire process chain, including troubleshooting, real-time monitoring, and optimization to ensure efficient performance.
  • Supervise the team of specialists responsible for managing, operating, and maintaining logistics equipment, including AGVs, ASRS, and conveyor systems.
  • Oversee the continuous availability of the logistic technologies ensuring smooth operational flow.
  • Resources Optimization, including personnel, materials, and equipment usage while contributing to budget planning and control systems.
  • Guarantee safety in operations acting as the authorized shopfloor representative for equipment and dangerous goods safety management.
  • Safeguard that all logistics operations comply with quality specifications and safety regulations, enforcing occupational safety throughout logistics processes.
  • Train, supervise, and mentor employees, ensuring compliance with policies, standards, and best practices for logistics equipment operations.
  • Set tasks and priorities, attend to equipment emergency notifications, provide timely and effective solutions to first level technical issues. 
  • Develop contingency plans to minimize equipment breakdowns and coordinate with external suppliers to ensure timely interventions and mitigate the impact on logistics operations.
  • Promote health and well-being among team members.
  • Supervise and guide trainees, fostering their technical and professional growth.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance logistics equipment performance and operational quality.
  • Lead initiatives to optimize processes, systems, and workflows involving AGVs, ASRS, and conveyor systems.
  • Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate equipment performance and identify areas for improvement.
  •  Work on a 24/7 shift model following the factory working calendar and applicable shift rotation strategies according to the constraints of the production process.
  
 
What you need for our CELLebration
  • Strong expertise in logistics operations, with advanced knowledge of AGVs, ASRS, and conveyor systems.
  • Solid knowledge of hazardous materials management and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in SAP and related logistics systems.
  • Proven leadership experience, particularly in managing specialists operating complex logistics technologies.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a strong aptitude for operational and equipment optimization.
  • Master’s degree or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain, Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years working experience in project coordination, administration, or a similar role.
  • German language skills are considered an asset.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
