Reporting to our Director, Facility Construction & Maintenance (FCM), this role will provide the crucial support necessary for daily business operations, serve as the key link on the Operations Team and will be a part of many ramp-up projects and activities. This role is a blend of technical support, administrative tasks, and strategic contributions while providing valuable exposure to one of North America’s largest and most complex construction projects.

  
 
How you will CELLebrate

•    Develop, monitor and track project deliverables, provide progress reports and proactive responses when required, maintain scorecards and present information regularly
•    Distribute and track tasks per the instruction of the Director, FCM or collaborating departments and teams
•    Organize technical and/or organizational workshops on department level.
•    Support the tracking of departmental budget and expenses in collaboration with Finance
•    Interface with all levels of the organization within PowerCo Canada as well as with PowerCo SE HQ in Germany
•    Serves as the primary point of contact for the Director, FCM in their absence
•    Prepare and coordinate key internal and external meetings, manage schedules, agenda topics, communication and action plan follow up as required 
•    Provide general administrative support (15% of role) in the form of managing expenses, calendar & travel management, correspondence, assigned vehicle / IT concerns, scheduling meetings and onboarding new direct reports

  
 
What you need for our CELLebration

•    Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Engineering field such as mechanical, chemical, industrial or electrical is preferred
•    3+ years of experience within a construction or production environment, with a greenfield or ramp-up environment would be beneficial

  
 
What else can you bring
  • Some experience with project management is preferred, coupled with the ability to lead and motivate through influence
  • Demonstrated understanding of construction and/or production processes and best practices
  • An ability to think strategically, approach complex challenges analytically and communicate clearly, concisely and effectively
  • Advanced competency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Ability to maintain flexible work hours to account for time zone differences with Europe, when necessary
  • Ability to travel within Canada, Europe and China
