For the ramp-up phase of our North American operations, we are seeking a dedicated Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Coordinator who thrives in fast-paced and dynamic environments. Reporting to the Manager of Talent Acquisition & Onboarding  this role will be based in St. Thomas, ON, and will support and coordinate the activities, processes, and functions of the local Talent Acquisition team.


This position will be instrumental in ensuring a seamless and impactful recruitment and onboarding experience for our new hires, helping them integrate smoothly and quickly into our organization. We have ambitious recruitment targets for 2025 and beyond, and this role will play a key part in achieving them by fostering a welcoming and efficient recruitment and onboarding experience. 
 

  
 
How you will CELLebrate

This is a flex hybrid model, requiring 2 days in the St. Thomas office. 

 

Talent Acquisition:

•    Support the TA team by posting jobs, screening candidates, facilitating the interview process while providing relevant updates to all parties and ensuring background checks are initiated and complete
•    Accurately and consistently monitor and track employee referrals and internal applicants
•    Monitor the recruitment inbox, ensuring timely action on relevant correspondence
•    Assist with the planning and execution of job fairs and recruitment-related activities, including travel and attendance and shipping of items when required
•    Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports, and maintain spreadsheets, forms, and templates, and leverage data-driven competencies to analyze recruitment metrics and assist in decision-making
•    Contribute ideas for improving recruitment practices and support recruitment projects

Onboarding: 
•    Play an active role in enhancing the pre-boarding and onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires 
•    Initiate onboarding in the HRIS system and ensure necessary preparation is complete, accurate and communicated with necessary parties
•    Coordinate closely with HR, hiring managers, and IT to ensure new hires have access to necessary equipment, resources, training, and information
•    Assist in planning, scheduling, and facilitating orientation sessions
•    Regularly update onboarding resources such as orientation presentations, preboarding guides, and internal SharePoint content.
•    Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires, addressing queries and guiding them through the onboarding journey.
•    Gather feedback from new hires through surveys and check-ins to improve the onboarding process.
•    Provide feedback and recommendations to enhance the overall onboarding experience at the gigafactory.

  
 
What you need for our CELLebration


•    Post–Secondary Education in in Business, Human Resources and/or equivalent relevant work experience 
•    1-3 years within a fast-paced Human Resources or Recruitment environment, ideally with coordination responsibilities

  
 
What else can you bring

•    Exposure to Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HRIS is a strong asset 
•    Strong customer service orientation with a high attention to detail and sensitivity to confidential information
•    Proven ability with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Excel and Word
•    Ability to generate and analyze data to track key recruitment and onboarding metrics and prepare relevant reports (e.g., time-to-hire, candidate experience, turnover rates, onboarding completion rates).
•    Ability to travel to job fairs, events and conferences, with occasional international travel to Germany (total travel up to ~10%)
