About the Role
|
The Senior Manufacturing Execution Manager will lead high-volume battery cell manufacturing operations within a complex, hybrid production environment combining continuous and discrete processes across semi- and fully-automated lines. Reporting to the Head of Production, this role holds end-to-end responsibility for production execution, including day-to-day performance management, strategic capacity ramp-up, digital integration (MES), and cost and quality target achievement.

Key Responsibilities
|
- Lead and manage the daily execution of production across all shifts and areas, ensuring adherence to quality, cost, delivery, and safety standards.
- Oversee a growing workforce of up to 500 individuals including managers, supervisors, engineers, team leaders and operators.
- Lead the production readiness and ramp-up strategy, ensuring stable capacity increases, scalability, and process reliability.
- Contribute to the digital transformation of the plant by aligning with data analytics, IoT initiatives, and automation upgrades.
- Ensure consistent compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements across all production areas.
- Align operations with key KPIs such as OEE, cycle time, scrap rate, efficiency and adherence to takt time.
- Translate strategic manufacturing targets into actionable production plans and action plans for deviations or disruptions.
- Provide coaching and development for production management and team leads, fostering a strong leadership pipeline.

What you bring to the Team
|
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher within an Engineering focus such as Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Materials Science.
- 10+ years progressive experience within high-volume, high-complexity manufacturing environments, preferably in automotive supplier or battery industries.
- 10+ years proven experiencing building, developing, and managing high-performing teams within precision-critical manufacturing environments, such as clean-room, battery cell assembly, or electronics manufacturing.
- Proven history of managing effectively within a fast-paced, high-stakes environment with composure and decisiveness.
- Commitment to operational excellence, continuous improvement, and a safety-first culture
- Demonstrated success in ramp-up execution, production planning, and operational scaling in greenfield or brownfield settings.
- Deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing, MES systems, and digital production technologies.
- Strong familiarity with KPI dashboards, data-driven root cause analysis, and manufacturing performance tracking.
- Strong analytical mindset and structured problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to travel internationally (China, Germany, Spain, etc.).
