About the Role

The Specialist, Workplace Services plays a central role in supporting operational effectiveness and employee experience within PowerCo.'s workplace environment through administration of key corporate programs and services. Reporting to the Manager of Occupational Health and Workplace Services, this position is responsible for managing a portfolio of internal programs including food services, workwear, workplace wellness, vendor relationships, and employee-facing services that contribute to a positive workplace experience. Acting as a liaison between employees, internal stakeholders and external partners, the Specialist ensures seamless delivery of workplace services across the organization.

This position is responsible for supporting the strategic planning and development of Workplace Service’s initiatives within PowerCo. Operations in St. Thomas Ontario. This is a hybrid role.

  
 
Key Responsibilities

Manage all food services (program and Contractual)

  • Manage all food services operations throughout PowerCo. Operations. This includes careteria/canteen operations, vending machine services, and all internal catering services to support the needs of the operation. This includes aligning with
  • PowerCo's vision of being the healthiest workplace in Canada by providing healthy choices for reasonable cost.
  • Development of new vendor relationships for assigned programs, including scope design, service delivery, and performance management.
  • Manage third-party service providers related to workplace programs and office operations, ensuring alignment with service level expectations.
  • Monitor performance, address service issues, and assist in contract renewals and negotiations in partnership with Purchasing or Legal as needed.

Manage Onsite Physical Fitness Area:

  • Development of new vendor relationships for assigned programs, including scope design, service delivery, and performance management.
  • Manage third-party service providers related to workplace programs and office operations, ensuring alignment with service level expectations.
  • Monitor performance, address service issues, and assist in contract renewals and negotiations in partnership with Purchasing or Legal as needed.

Manage Workwear:

  • Development of new vendor relationships for assigned programs, including scope design, service delivery, and performance management.
  • Manage third-party service providers related to workplace programs and office operations, ensuring alignment with service level expectations.
  • Monitor performance, address service issues, and assist in contract renewals and negotiations in partnership with Purchasing or Legal as needed.

Support Health Services:

  • Development of new vendor relationships for assigned programs, including scope design, service delivery, and performance management.

Child Care Services

  • Development of new vendor relationships for assigned programs, including scope design, service delivery, and performance management.

 

  
 
What you bring to the Team

• 3 Years related experience

• College degree preferred.

• Experience with vehicle service programs

• Experience with Food Service programs

• Experience with general industrial support processes

• Multi-tasking experience a must

• Writing skills

• Knowledge & experience of budgets

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

• Experienced in contract requirements, negotiations, and management

• Experienced in vendor management
