The Senior Specialist, Factory Industrialization is responsible for program managing the complete Factory Engineering portfolio for the St. Thomas battery cell manufacturing facility, ensuring alignment across all engineering disciplines, construction interfaces, and ramp‑up activities. The role provides non‑disciplinary team coordination, technical guidance, and documentation governance to ensure timely, compliant, and efficient delivery of engineering scopes. This position plays a critical role in preparing the factory for high‑quality, cost‑effective, and scalable industrial operations.

Your role and key responsibilities
|
This is a temporary hybrid model requiring 2 days in the St. Thomas office, subject to change based on the needs and nature of this project. During certain phases of the build, a full-time onsite presence may be a requirement.
This posting is for a currently vacant role.
- Program manage the full Factory Engineering portfolio, including schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, and mitigation measures.
- Provide non‑disciplinary coordination and technical guidance to Factory Engineering team members, ensuring consistency in methods, documentation, and adherence to internal specifications.
- Lead technical planning and integration activities across value stream, process engineering, automation, logistics, construction, maintenance, quality, and HSE functions.
- Establish and maintain factory‑level engineering KPIs, reporting routines, dashboards, and status updates for cross‑functional governance forums.
- Manage engineering documentation governance, including version control, change management, drawing standards, and audit readiness.
- Lead factory ramp‑up by conducting engineering readiness assessments, resolving cross‑functional technical issues, and coordinating troubleshooting efforts.
- Facilitate engineering workshops, reviews, supplier meetings, and technical alignment sessions with internal and external stakeholders.
Provide expert input for process optimization, equipment integration, manufacturability, ergonomics, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you bring to the team
|
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in factory engineering, industrial engineering, or production engineering in large‑scale manufacturing environments.
- Strong technical planning and factory layout expertise.
- Proficiency with digital engineering tools (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, Plant Simulation).
- Ability to analyse production technologies and workflows using IE methods (value stream mapping, scenario modelling).
- Knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and cross‑functional coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple engineering topics in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

- Attractive Remuneration: The expected competitive compensation range for this position is $98,160 - $147,250 CAD, which includes base pay and target amount of short term incentive plan.
