About the Role
|
In this role, the Senior Reporting and Continuous Improvement Specialist will be responsible for managing external supplier contracts, including scope negotiation, risk mitigation, compliance monitoring, and cost management. Simultaneously, they will drive a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing project workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and promoting best practices to enhance overall project performance.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in analyzing complex contract requirements and project processes, identifying areas for optimization, and implementing solutions that enhance both contractual and operational efficiency. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills are imperative to effectively support the Project Management (PM) Manager in driving successful contract and continuous improvement outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
|
• Lead the development and implementation of lessons learned and contract management initiatives across all project areas.
• Prepare, schedule and track a detailed plan of the contracts to be signed from PowerCo CA with regards to the main OPEX topics aligned with the operational strategy of the company as well as with the affected stakeholders such as, compliance, legal services, procurement and the corresponding requesters.
• Monitor and assess project workflows and contract processes to identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain and oversee a structured lessons-learned database, ensuring insights are effectively documented and applied to future projects.
• Keep a proper network of contacts within PowerCO SE to assure that the lessons learned from the different projects are properly conveyed and implemented in PowerCO CA
• Lead the development of documentation protocols for tracking lessons learned, integrating findings into ongoing and future project phases.
• Oversee the collaboration with project managers and key stakeholders on the implementation of best practices, enhancing operational efficiency, and optimizing project outcomes.
• Lead contract negotiations, execution, and lifecycle management, ensuring clarity, compliance, and risk mitigation.
• Oversee contract modifications, change orders, and budget alignment to support financial objectives and maintain project integrity.
• Monitor contract performance, enforce compliance, and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues proactively.
• Lead risk assessments on contracts, identifying potential challenges and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Lead the evaluation of contract outcomes, supplier performance, and cost-effectiveness, integrating lessons learned into future agreements and strategies.
• Lead the development of standardized templates, tools, and frameworks for lessons learned and contract management to ensure consistency and efficiency.
• Monitor the preparation and delivery of regular reports and presentations, highlighting key achievements, challenges, lessons learned, and contract status updates.
• Provide regular updates to the PM Manager, Project Lead, and/or CEO, COO ensuring clear communication on milestones, risks, and ongoing initiatives.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting collaboration, innovation, and knowledge-sharing across project teams.
• Assure that different stakeholders make a join effort to accomplish common goals, reporting misalignments that might arise.
• Perform additional duties as required, contributing to the overall success and strategic growth of the Project Management team and organization.

What you bring to the Team
|
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Construction Management, Engineering, Business Management or related fields.
• 7+ year’s professional experience managing projects in complex & interdisciplinary environments.
• In-depth knowledge of lessons learned methodologies, continuous improvement practices, and contract management principles.
• Strong understanding of legal frameworks applicable to the construction industry.
• Proficiency in contract negotiation, ensuring favorable terms while maintaining positive relationships with vendors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Proven ability to identify, analyze, and mitigate financial, operational, and legal risks associated with contracts.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration across diverse teams and organizational levels.
• Strong strategic and analytical thinking with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, managing multiple initiatives and priorities effectively.
• Proficiency in documentation and tracking tools, including Excel and project management software.
• High level of professionalism, responsiveness, and a structured, results-oriented work style.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team, thriving in fast-paced and high-pressure environments.
• Adaptability to intercultural settings with strong empathy and interpersonal understanding.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels of hierarchy and functions.
• Occasional travel within Ontario and internationally (~10%).
• Flexibility to accommodate time zone differences with Europe when necessary.
• Willingness to work overtime as required to meet ramp-up deadlines.
• Experience in automotive and/or e-mobility industry (challenges & opportunities) is considered an asset.
• German language skills is considered an asset. |
