About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Analyst, IT Infrastructure & Hosting. This senior-level role is key to shaping and evolving PowerCo’s IT Infrastructure and Hosting capabilities. You will design and oversee Data Center, Server, and Storage initiatives, ensuring robust operations and alignment with future business needs. The position requires close collaboration with global PowerCo teams to deliver secure, scalable, and innovative infrastructure solutions that support our digital strategy.

  
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and operate Data Center services, including UPS, LCP, PDU, racks, cooling, and data-center monitoring systems to ensure continuous and reliable infrastructure operations.

  • Oversee Backup and Disaster Recovery services, managing technologies such as Veeam, defining backup policies, conducting DR planning, and coordinating server restoration activities.

  • Administer hosting platforms and compute environments, covering virtualization, hypervisors, clusters, and hybrid cloud compute services to ensure scalable and resilient operations.

  • Manage enterprise storage services, including NetApp, NAS environments, and capacity planning to support application and data growth efficiently.

  • Support and maintain database and middleware infrastructure, ensuring reliability of SQL/NoSQL platforms and associated application services.

  • Lead operational excellence through MRO activities (Maintain, Repair, Operate), ensuring proactive monitoring, incident resolution, problem and change management, and asset/capacity oversight across infrastructure services.

  • Coordinate and manage vendor relationships and licensing, ensuring high-quality service delivery, adherence to technical requirements, and effective lifecycle/contract management.

  • Oversee ITSE infrastructure services including foundational compute, storage, network, and middleware layers, ensuring compliance with architectural standards, reliability targets, and operational KPIs.

 
 
  
 
What you bring to the Team
  • Currently completing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 7–10 years of experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Deep expertise in enterprise network architectures, server platforms, and storage technologies, including component-level configuration and performance optimization.

  • Proven experience managing large-scale virtualization infrastructures (e.g., VMware vSphere, Hyper-V clusters).

  • Professional certifications such as CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, MCSE, VCP, or equivalent enterprise infrastructure credentials.

  • Strong background in IT Infrastructure Operations, including ITSM frameworks, service reliability engineering, and end-to-end service lifecycle management.

  • Proficiency with active and passive network equipment.

  • Proficiency in managing Windows and Linux operating systems.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

  • Experience supporting network and network security infrastructure.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.

  • Effective project management and facilitation skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical personnel.

  • International mindset with a strong interest in global work environments and diverse teams.

  • German language skills are an asset.

Attractive Remuneration: The expected competitive compensation range for this position is $87,650- $131,470 CAD, which includes base pay and target amount of short term incentive plan.
