We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Support Specialist - Logistics, to support and coordinate project management activities for the implementation, roll-out and ramp-up of the local logistics organization and processes. Reporting to the Head of Logistics, you will support and contribute to the PowerCo logistics leadership team to achieve the objectives of the logistics rollout project at the St. Thomas facility. 

 

This is a temporary flex hybrid model requiring 2 days in the St. Thomas office, subject to change based on the needs and nature of this project. During certain phases of the build, a full-time onsite presence may be a requirement.

About the Role

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Logistics Rollout, Implementation, and Ramp-up Projects Coordination
  • Assist project managers in planning, executing, and closing projects
  • Coordinate project-related activities, ensuring smooth workflows
  • Monitor project timelines and milestones within the project management tool (Primavera)
  • Monitor project and cost center budgets, including forecasting for future years
  • Coordinate risk management activities
  • Act as point of contact for Project Management organization for updates and risks in project timelines for Logistics

 

Communication and Collaboration:

 

  • Facilitate communication among project team members, stakeholders, and executives
  • Organize meetings, workshops, and reviews
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project and departmental goals

 

Project Documentation:

 

  • Create, align, review, and update project status reports, presentations, risk registers, and decision sheets
  • Track action items, open points, and follow up on outstanding tasks
  • Prepare project presentations
  • Prepare and distribute documentation, including meeting minutes, agendas, and reports
  • Maintain project and departmental files and databases

 

General:

 

  • Contribute innovative ideas to improve project processes
  • Collaborate closely with other departments within PowerCo Canada, Volkswagen Group Canada, PowerCo Spain, and PowerCo SE headquarters
     
  
 
Key Responsibilities

 

  • Post-Secondary Education in Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • 3+ years working experience in project coordination, administration, or a similar role

  • Working experience in logistics functions are considered an asset
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Oracle Primavera, Oracle Aconex, Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira)
  • Leadership mindset and willingness to learn and adapt
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in an environment of shifting priorities, timelines and occasional ambiguity
