About the Role

The system architect will play a critical role in translating leadership’s vision of Canada’s healthiest workplace into reality. This position will design and guide an integrated, secure, and user-focused digital ecosystem that empowers employees to thrive. This will aligns technical systems, privacy standards, and behavioral adoption standards toe ensure sustainable, measurable wellness outcomes across the organization. Working cross-functionally, the architect will build a resilient, user-centric foundation that supports the organization’s commitment to creating a lasting system that strengthens resilience, engagement and performance at every level.

 

This is a flex hybrid work structure, where employees can work both remotely and on-site at our St. Thomas location. This is a temporary, contract role for 9-12 months.

  
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and integrate the digital wellness ecosystem.
  • Lead the architecture, design and technical implementation of scalable, secure and user centered Wellness platform.
  • Ensure all core modules: including health risk assessment, mental health supports, ergonomic tools, employee engagement are seamlessly connected and aligned with organization’slong term wellness objectives.
  • Partner closely with program leaders to transform the organizational vision for workplace health into practical and sustainable systems.
  • Define and enforce data governance standards, embed user adoption and behavior change principles along with continuous improvement practices.
  
 
What you bring to the Team
  • Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or a related technical or systems integration discipline. Master’s degree in Health Informatics, Occupational Health & Safety, Organizational Psychology or a related interdisciplinary field combining health and systems design an asset.
  • Additional certifications in Privacy and Data Protection or Lean Six Sigma considered an asset.
  • Experience leading large-scale digital transformation projects in occupational health, wellness, or employee engagement domains
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate behavioural science principles or human factors design into technical architecture, promoting user adoption and sustained engagement
  • Familiarity with change management frameworks or demonstrated success driven user-centered adoption for complex workplace initiatives.
  • Track record of collaborating with external vendors, third party service providers and internal governance teams to align systems with strategic wellness goals
  • Proven experience in system architecture and integration, especially in health, wellness, or occupational safety contexts.
  • Demonstrated understanding of data privacy and security standards (e.g., PHIPA, PIPEDA, or equivalent).
  • Strong skills in requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation for cross-functional technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to translate strategic vision into operational system design, ensuring adoption and long-term sustainability.
  • Effective communicator with experience managing multiple stakeholders, vendors, and implementation teams.
