The Performance Control Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing project performance metrics within a large-scale construction project for a battery industrial facility. This role focuses on tracking, analyzing, and reporting on various performance indicators to ensure the project aligns with strategic timelines, budgetary constraints, and quality standards. The Performance Control Specialist will provide actionable insights to the Construction Project Manager, enabling informed decision-making and process enhancements to meet project goals efficiently.

How you will CELLebrate

• Track and assess key performance indicators (KPIs) for project timelines, budgets, resources, and quality measures.
• Conduct regular performance audits and prepare detailed reports to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement tools and dashboards to monitor ongoing performance and provide transparency.
• Identify potential performance risks and develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with the project team.
• Conduct root-cause analysis for performance deviations and propose corrective actions.
• Design and implement specific performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of project phases.
• Continuously refine KPIs and benchmarks to align with evolving project needs and standards.
• Ensure accurate, timely collection of data related to project activities and performance metrics.
• Validate and verify data integrity across reporting platforms and databases, minimizing discrepancies.
• Monitor project budgets closely and track cost performance, ensuring budget adherence through effective forecasting.
• Identify and communicate budget deviations, providing recommendations to address and mitigate overspending.
• Work with scheduling teams to analyze the project schedule, monitor progress, and identify potential delays.
• Proactively suggest adjustments to work plans and resource allocations to optimize timelines.
• Ensure that performance control processes adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and corporate policies.
• Monitor compliance with local and international construction codes, quality standards, and environmental guidelines.
• Develop training materials and lead sessions for project team members on performance monitoring tools, processes, and KPIs.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement by sharing insights, successes, and lessons learned with the team.
• Lead performance improvement initiatives, focusing on optimizing resource utilization, reducing cycle times, and enhancing overall project efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and standardize performance control methodologies.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Construction Project Manager and relevant stakeholders.
• Act as the primary contact for performance-related inquiries, providing data-driven insights to support decision-making.
• Support the project manager in resolving performance bottlenecks, coordinating closely with other departments as needed.
• Assist in troubleshooting any project-related performance challenges, identifying sustainable solutions.

What you need for our CELLebration
|
• 5+ years working in the construction industry (i.e., engineering-, architecture-, or construction-related, or equivalent), preferably with execution of industrial facilities.
|

• Experience working specifically on large projects.
• Exceptional organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and coordination.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Can read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Understands the nuances of the design and construction process.
• Able to work safely on an active construction site in accordance with the Health & Safety Plan.
• Can communicate in a professional manner with engineers, architects, and construction managers both verbally and in writing.
• Has high degrees of team orientation and social competence.
• Detail oriented and will diligently ensure that components of the project meet the overall goal.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Primarily on-site at construction projects with some time spent in the office for coordination and planning.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards related to large construction projects is an asset.
• Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) or Lean Six Sigma is an asset.
• Familiarity with construction project management software (e.g., Primavera) is an asset.
• Knowledge in Construction QA/QC field is an asset.
• Experience in Oracle / Aconex and with AutoDesk products would be considered as an asset.
