Your role and key responsibilities
|
This positions will focus on various people analytics projects and initiatives, working cross-functionally with the other HR divisions.
You’ll also have opportunities to contribute to building and developing data assets that provide strategic insights to HR leaders and team members. There will be occasional light administrative tasks to help keep our HR systems and operations running smoothly.
This is a great opportunity to work in a startup-like environment within a global organization that is building Canada’s first Gigafactory and reshaping the future of sustainable energy.
This is a hybrid role with an office in St. Thomas. This is a 4-8 month co-op role, for a Canadian Co-op program.

What you bring to the team
|
- Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards that deliver actionable insights across key HR domains, including Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), Workforce
- Planning, Employee Engagement, Performance Management, Compensation & Benefits, and overall Workforce Demographic.
- Collaborate with HR and People Analytics teams to develop standardized data definitions, KPIs, and governance documentation—creating intake forms, approval workflows, and data standards—to ensure consistent terminology, aligned metrics, and a unified approach to HR data across the organization.
- Build and optimize data models and dashboards within SAP SuccessFactors to support scalable reporting, analytics, and dashboard development across multiple HR functional areas.
- Perform complex Excel-based analyses—leveraging advanced formulas, pivot tables, data modeling, and scenario modeling—to generate insights that support strategic HR decision‑making.
- Assist in the creation and refinement of PowerPoint presentations by preparing content, organizing materials, formatting slides, and supporting overall presentation development for HR leadership.
- Perform data cleaning, validation, and routine data quality audits—primarily within SAP SuccessFactors—to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability across HR data and analytics outputs.
- Create ad‑hoc HR reports and provide administrative support as needed to enable timely insights, efficient operations, and effective decision‑making across the People Analytics function.

What makes you stand out
|
- Currently in a post-secondary education in the field of Business, ideally HR, Technical Business, Data Analytics or related. In a co-op program.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, lookups, scenario modeling)
- Power BI and DAX fundamentals
- Data cleaning, validation, and quality assurance
- SAP SuccessFactors (reporting, data models, auditing, data extraction)
- PowerPoint (presentation creation and formatting)
- Ad‑hoc reporting (Primarily in Excel)
- Think-cell
