About the Role
|
|
This role is intended to be filled through a third-party staffing agency for a 12-month term, with potential for extension. To support onboarding, the successful candidate will begin on a temporary contract directly with our organization before transitioning to the agency. The role, responsibilities, and reporting structure will remain consistent throughout, ensuring a smooth and stable experience.

Key Responsibilities
|
|
• Serve as the main liaison between departments such as operations and quality to ensure effective communication and collaboration in manufacturing and process improvement activities. • Develop and maintain production and project schedules to ensure all engineering and process-related tasks are completed according to established timelines. • Lead and coordinate cross-functional task forces to analyze and enhance manufacturing processes and operational efficiency. • Evaluate intermediate products and processes to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards. • Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks and inefficiencies in manufacturing and development processes through data-driven analysis and technical evaluations. • Conduct Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify and resolve product and process failures. • Develop and assist in performing Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for processes and designs to proactively identify potential points of failure and recommend preventive measures. • Analyze process gaps and perform technical validations to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve production yield. • Plan, coordinate, and support Design of Experiments (DoE) and material sampling activities to validate process parameters and ensure accurate data collection. • Oversee material and component release processes by validating engineering requirements and ensuring readiness for production implementation. • Conduct and support troubleshooting activities related to process deviations, material substitutions, or specification changes to maintain production integrity. • Provide engineering support to the manufacturing facility to help achieve and sustain target yield rates and process capability. • Analyze production and process data, interpret results, and prepare technical reports and recommendations to support continuous improvement initiatives. • Evaluate and make engineering decisions regarding production deviations to ensure adherence to design and process standards. |

What you bring to the Team
|
• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in chemistry, material, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or related field. • Able to multi-task and to determine and shift priorities. • Able to maintain flexible work hours to account for time zone differences with Europe, and the ability to work overtime on occasion to meet ramp-up deadlines.

• Attractive Remuneration: The expected competitive compensation range for this position is $50.48/hour CAD, which includes base pay and target amount of short term incentive plan.
