For the ramp-up phase of our North American operations and beyond, we are looking for an Occupational Health Manager, reporting to the CHRO. This role is responsible for developing and implementing initiatives that enhance employee health and well-being, reduce workplace risks, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. This includes collaborating with company doctors, external health services, and health and safety specialists to provide high-quality care and monitor occupational health, safety, and ergonomic practices. We have lofty goals in 2024, and this role will play an important part in helping us achieve them.

How you will CELLebrate
|
Occupational Health Management:
• Develop and implement health and wellness initiatives to enhance employee well-being and reduce workplace risks.
• Collaborate with company doctors and external health services to ensure high-quality healthcare in line with legislation and internal guidelines.
• Support occupational health, safety, accident prevention, and ergonomic working conditions.
• Coordinate health screenings, ergonomic assessments, and rehabilitation programs.
• Align with organizational health objectives and collaborate with health service and safety leaders to monitor goals.
• Collaborate on emergency response planning for medical, workplace, and environmental incidents.
• Facilitate training in first aid, CPR, and emergency protocols.
• Oversee injury claims and manage return-to-work programs with HR.
• Maintain emergency response equipment and readiness.
• Oversee cafeteria operations and ensure employee needs are met.
• Coordinate travel arrangements in compliance with company policies.
• Manage reception services and facilities, ensuring an efficient office environment.
• Partner with HR to maintain records and administer non-occupational health leave.
• Ensure compliance with OHSA, ESA, and other regulations.
• Evaluate and improve health and wellness programs, reporting outcomes and compliance activities.
• Appoint and collaborate with health and safety specialists to ensure adherence to legal standards.
• Monitor and implement safety measures, ensuring employees adhere to health and safety standards.
• Design and implement occupational health and safety policies and objectives.
• Coordinate accident reporting and significant health developments to senior management.
• Lead the development of policies ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and employee well-being.
• Represent health services in committees and external communications.
• Lead and mentor health and administrative professionals, promoting a culture of health and safety across the organization.
• Act as a liaison between departments, doctors, and health services to resolve wellness and safety concerns.
Facilities & Office Management:
• Lead the development and implementation of long-term strategies to ensure efficient, safe, and sustainable office operations.
• Oversee vendor management and negotiate contracts with service providers to align with organizational goals and budgets.
• Champion initiatives to improve office infrastructure and workplace design, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
HR Services Support:
• Provide strategic guidance to ensure payroll and travel processes are executed with accuracy, compliance, and a focus on employee satisfaction.
• Partner with HR leaders to improve systems and processes related to payroll, travel, and other employee services, aligning them with company objectives and policies.
• Act as a mentor and coach to team members involved in HR-related services, promoting professional growth and high standards of service delivery.

What you need for our CELLebration
|
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Health, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Occupational Health & Case Management
• 3+ years of experience in leading teams within Occupational Health & Safety, & Facilities Management
|
What else can you bring
|
• Strong knowledge of applicable regulations (OHSA, ESA) and best practices in workplace health and safety.
• Thorough knowledge of Ontario’s WSIB processes, legislation, and compliance requirements, including claims management, reporting, and return-to-work protocols.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage programs, and collaborate across departments.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED (or ability to obtain one shortly after employment).
• Training in ergonomics, wellness coaching, or mental health first aid.
• Proficiency in workplace health and safety management software.
• Familiarity with office administration tools (e.g., MS Office Suite, project management software).
• Ability to analyze data and prepare reports on wellness and compliance metrics.
• Potential for international travel to HQ in Germany (total travel up to ~20%)
• Overtime may be required to meet ramp-up deadlines |
