How you will CELLebrate

We’re looking for a Manager, Total Rewards & Organizational Design to develop, implement and administer the Total Rewards program and Organizational Design strategy for our Canadian location in alignment with PowerCo SE in Germany. If you’ve always wanted to build something from the ground up, this is an excellent opportunity to build robust, scalable programs for years to come.

This is a flex hybrid model requiring 2 days in the St. Thomas office, subject to change based on the needs and nature of this project.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and execute Total Rewards (compensation, benefits, organizational design) programs and related processes, ensuring effective communication and alignment with business goals.
  • Lead job architecture design and implementation of job families/profiles and salary grades
  • Develop and implement PowerCo Canada’s salary structure for both salaried and hourly employees including job evaluation, salary surveys, and ongoing market analysis.
  • Partner with external service providers, establishing KPIs and monitoring vendor performance and results.
  • Research trends in compensation, benefits, and pensions to ensure PowerCo Canada remains competitive while identifying any potential gaps or areas of concern.
  • Develop policies in compliance with current and future legislation and initiatives (e.g., pay equity, ESA, DEI)
  • Ensure effective communication and training strategies to support the rollout of new or updated programs, policies, and processes.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Leadership to manage the compensation and benefits budget, forecasting and adjustments when necessary
  • Prepare complex analyses and regularly prepare materials for Leadership and Board meetings.
  • Oversee transactional processes, ensuring accurate and compliant execution of changes (new hires, terminations, adjustments, Global Assignments) in accordance with best practices. 
  • Act as a point of contact for employee questions related to compensation and benefits, resolving issues in a timely and effective manner, working closely with payroll implement effective and compliant solutions.
  • Direct the annual compensation review and bonus process for the North American region.
  • Spearhead the development and implementation of the Job Position Management System.
  • Lead the development and implementation of Headcount Controlling during planning rounds.
  • Ensure seamless organizational structure and process organization with interfaces across all levels, including board committees, corporate strategy, and policy setting.
  • Play a key role in the recruitment and selection of future Total Rewards team members
  
 
What you need for our CELLebration
  • University degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience designing, implementing and executing Total Rewards programs in high growth environments ideally within the automotive, manufacturing, industrial or tech sectors
  • 3+ years of experience leading a team.
  • Completion of CCP, CHRP or CHRL designations is beneficial.
  
 
What else can you bring
  • A proven history of developing, delivering, and implementing significant Total rewards programs or projects.
  • Advanced data fluency and critical thinking skills to develop insightful, impactful recommendations and achieve ambitious business goals and timelines
  • Strong professional knowledge of various job evaluation methodologies.
  • Advanced and current knowledge of Canadian compensation and payroll best practices paired with sound knowledge of ESA, Human Rights, Pay Equity, and related legislation.
  • Proven ability to develop effective working relationships with internal and external partners and vendors
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to build reports and dashboards
  • An articulate and professional communicator with the ability to provide clear, concise messaging to multiple audiences and present complex information across the organization.
  • Experience with HR SAP and SuccessFactors is considered an asset.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
