This exciting opportunity is based in the charming town of St. Thomas, Ontario, and requires in-person attendance.

  
 
How you will CELLebrate
  • Set up and oversee predictive (Condition Based Monitoring) maintenance systems.  
  • Review equipment criticality and FMEA to assess potential equipment reliability issues. 
  • Lead reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) initiatives to drive continuous improvement in plant performance. 
  • Review basic equipment condition after Design freeze & provide analysis of maintainability issues. 
  • Monitor equipment reliability using available data. 
  • Analyze real-time data to identify trends & optimize reliability and Maintainability strategies. 
  • Lead and participate in Root Cause analysis drive continuous improvement initiatives and reduce downtime. 
  • Support planners in developing and updating maintenance strategies, plans, and methods 
  • Building equipment hierarchies based on the OEM documentation provided. 
  • Building plant maintenance BoMs (RSPL & parts that have potential to fail). 
  • Identify and remove bottlenecks affecting plant availability and equipment reliability. 
  • Establish and maintain a robust asset lifecycle management strategy to optimize asset utilization and extend equipment life. 
  • Ensure critical spare parts availability and optimize inventory management to balance cost and operational needs. 
  • Be a CMMS key user and drive programs to roll out new functionality, procedures, scheduling, or reports. 
  • Monitor standards implementation through reporting and audits. 
  • Analyze and improve forecasting of preventative maintenance routines to make equipment maintenance less intrusive and more effective. 
  • Work on cost reduction and process improvement for spare parts management, equipment maintenance and maintenance routines initiatives. 
  • Optimize the use of labor, equipment, and material resources. 
  • Collaborate with the Production Department to monitor and enhance equipment performance. 
  • Analyze and track downtime data to improve equipment efficiency, including MTTR and MTBF metrics. 
  
 
What you need for our CELLebration
  • Education Required: Engineering degree (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or Automation) with an electro-mechanical background (Must) 
  • Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) / FMEA training / Pre-Launch Pd.M. systems setup (Desirable) 
  • Years of Relevant Experience Required: ​+5 years of experience in reliability / Maintainability engineering​ 
  
 
What else can you bring
  • Experience with FMEA, RCM, TQM implementation for new operation. 
  • Strong knowledge and experience with WCM (World Class Manufacturing) and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) methodologies. 
  • Proven experience on Analyzing and tracking downtime data to improve equipment efficiency, including MTTR, MTBF, Labor Utilization, completion rates of work orders, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) metrics and other. 
  • Strong knowledge of automated systems, including PLCs, robotics, VFDs and HMI systems. 
  • Proficiency in using CMMS/EAM systems for maintenance tracking and reporting (SAP-PM desirable). 
  • Excellent and demonstrated problem-solving experience and the ability to diagnose complex issues. 
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. 
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to all relevant protocols and guidelines, identifying and reporting safety hazards. 
  • Interpret electrical/automation prints and OEM documentation proficiently. 
  • Proven ability to manage and engage a team of skilled trades professionals. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer-based applications. 
  • Experience with condition monitoring technologies (vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, etc.).  
  • Knowledge of ISO 55000 Asset Management principles and RCM methodologies. 
  • Experienced with IATF-16949 and/or ISO methodologies requirements.  
  • Ability to drive change and lead continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • Solid understanding of preventative maintenance with mechanical and electrical aptitude. 
  • A keen sense of urgency who works well under pressure and reacts to stressful situations with professionalism. 
  • Ability to work according to tight schedules and timelines and independently and in a team environment. 
  • Availability for international trips and training of up to 3 months. 
  • Knowledge about PLCs, robotics (Fanuc/Kuka), with a preference for Siemens S7 (desirable). 
  • Experience with equipment installation, commissioning and service is desirable.
