How you will CELLebrate
|
- Review and validate the automated systems' setup and configuration completed by suppliers to ensure compliance with local production requirements.
- Review suppliers and input automation related maintenance procedures into CMMS’
- Learn and understand the operation and maintenance of automated systems (PLCs, SCADA, Sensors, Vision, etc...,) during testing and configuration.
- Establish troubleshooting protocols and review preventive maintenance plans (technical).
- Coordinate with the right stakeholders the proper documentation for local site including training manuals
- Monitor and troubleshoot any issues related to the performance of automated systems.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure right functionality ensuring production scale up.
- Adjust and fine tune automation settings.
- Creating automation standard parameters.
- Ensure the full integration of automated systems with local production requirements and alignment with ramp-up targets.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance with the local team on automated systems.
- Continuously monitor and optimize PLC programs & automation systems settings.
- Respond to breakdowns providing immediate technical support for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Collaborate with Central maintenance team to implement improvements or upgrades.
- Ensure regular training and upskilling of local maintenance team.
- Assist with spare parts requisitions/management and be SME for automation.
- Collaborate with engineers, project teams, and contractors during the setup of equipment and systems.
- Assist with equipment installation, alignment, and initial testing.
- Review and familiarize themselves with operation manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Develop, implement, and oversee automated systems, robotics, and equipment in the manufacturing process.
- Conduct pre-operational tests to confirm system functionality and safety compliance.
- Develop maintenance schedules, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety protocols.
- Train on new equipment and software, including computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Identify and stock critical spare parts and establish an inventory system.
- Monitor and optimize equipment during the initial stages of production to ensure it meets operational targets.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and early-stage equipment failures.
- Conduct detailed inspections of equipment during initial production cycles to address mechanical, electrical, or software issues.
- Assist in fine-tuning equipment settings and calibrations to meet production quality standards.
- Document and address recurring issues for continuous improvement.
- Train operators and other staff on basic maintenance and equipment handling practices.
- Ensure all automation systems comply with industry safety standards regulations maintaining accurate records in the CMMS.
- Implement long-term solutions for equipment reliability and performance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.
- Perform and support scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime.
- Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Act as a lead troubleshooter for automation equipment, including 6-axis robots (Fanuc/Kuka), programmable logic controllers, human-machine interfaces, presses, conveying equipment, and pneumatic and hydraulic actuators
- Troubleshooting and implementing software changes to OMRON, SIEMENS, and other platforms of PLC’s
- Capability with programming vision systems such as Cognex, Rviz ETC.
- Monitor critical assets for early signs of failure and take proactive corrective actions to avoid extended downtime and production delays.
- Ensuring the adherence to IATF 16949/ISO 9001 policies.
- Obtain missing and keep updated files for assets from OEMs (Programs, IP addresses, Schematics, Parts Lists, Manuals, in electronic format)

What you need for our CELLebration
|
- Education Required: Engineering degree in Automation, Electrical, or a related field.
- Years of Relevant Experience Required: +5 years of experience in Automation engineering, Pharma, component assembly, Chemical or Automotive.

What else can you bring
|
- PLC programming and troubleshooting, SCADA system Diagnostics and Monitoring.
- Automation Control Systems Certification (CCS: ISA) desirable, Advanced troubleshooting for Industrial Automation.
- Proven experience (+5 Years) in an industrial Maintenance role and/or Commissioning or Installation of, preferably within a lithium-ion battery manufacturing environment Chemical Industry, Pharmaceutical, Components assembly or Automotive.
- Must be proficient in PLCs Allen-Bradely, CompactLogix, Siemens S7, TIA Portal Simatic WinCC, Factory talk, and Ignition.
- Create Functional descriptions, Network Architecture, Flow Charts for Automation projects.
- Experienced with Back-ups of PLC, HMI programs, and Drive parameters.
- Knowledge of communication protocols Ethernet/IP, Profibus / Profinet is an asset.
- Knowledge of industrial networking is an asset.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented and analytical mindset.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Experience with ERP systems, data analysis tools, and industrial IoT.
- Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations related to automated systems.
- Experience supporting the execution of factory automation, MES, and IoT projects to enhance production capabilities.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to colleagues, fostering knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Good written and oral communication skills (English).
- Hands on experience of automated systems, including PLCs, robotics, and HMI systems.
- Proficiency in using CMMS/EAM systems for maintenance tracking and reporting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and repair complex automation issues.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Experience with robot programming, troubleshooting, and manipulating (Fanuc / Kuka).
- PSHSR reviews for equipment safety validation experience (desirable).
