Your role and key responsibilities
|
In this role, you lead the Integrated and Quality Management Systems, reporting directly to the Quality Director. You will ensure our plant meets ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16949 requirements while supporting stable, compliant Li‑ion battery production. You oversee audits, manage document control, drive corrective actions, and track key performance metrics. Working closely with engineering, production, EHS, and operations teams, you strengthen process discipline and lead continuous improvement across the plant.
This position is a temporary hybrid model, requiring 2 days per week onsite in the St. Thomas office. This is subject to change based on the needs of the project and will eventually transition to fully onsite.

What you bring to the team
|
- Develops, maintains, and continuously improve the Integrated Management System (IMS) to meet ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IATF 16949 and any industry‑specific standards relevant to Li‑ion cell production.
- Coordinates the Quality Management System (QMS) operations including document control, process mapping, change management, and adherence to customer and regulatory requirements such as IATF 16949.
- Plans, executes, and oversees internal audit programs for quality, environmental, and safety systems, ensuring corrective actions are defined, implemented, and effectively closed.
- Coordinates non-conformance investigations and CAPA processes, including root-cause analysis (5-Why, Fishbone, 8D) and monitoring action closure.
- Drives continuous improvement projects targeting process stability, risk reduction, regulatory compliance, and alignment with corporate sustainability and quality goals.
- Trains and mentors employees on IMS/QMS requirements, policies, procedures, audit practices, and relevant standards to build organizational capability.
- Monitors and report on key KPI's related to quality performance, environmental compliance, occupational health & safety metrics, and systems effectiveness.
- Supports cross-functional team during external, customer and certification audits, ensuring readiness, availability of records, and proper representation of processes.

What makes you stand out
|
- Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Electronic, Chemical, Pharmaceutical or related field.
- 5-7 years of experience
- Deep understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16949
- Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, control plans, and process validation
- Skilled in planning, conducting, and reporting internal audits
- Experience supporting customer, regulatory, and certification audits
- Strong written and verbal communication for policies, procedures, and reports
- Skilled in simplifying complex regulations into practical guidance
- Awareness of Li‑ion cell manufacturing processes (coating, calendaring, assembly, formation, testing)Understanding of safety requirements related to chemicals, energy storage, and clean‑room environments
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, standards, and methodologies (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma, Shainin RedX).
- Proven project management skills.

- IATF 16949:2016 Lead Auditor / Core Tools Certification
- ISO 19011 Internal Auditor Training (Audit principles & techniques)
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
- ASQ Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)
