Your role and key responsibilities

We are looking for a reliable member of the shell and core MEP Construction team (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) for the role of Coordinator, MEP Projects. The role demands strong project coordination capabilities and the ability to maintain visibility across shell and core MEP planning and delivery activities.

Reporting to the Manager, MEP, this role will be responsible for coordinating the shell and core MEP timeline, facilitating communication and project activities with the MEP Construction team during design and execution phases, and supporting contract and cost management activities within the MEP Construction scope. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting project planning, reporting, stakeholder coordination, and project delivery.

This exciting opportunity is based in the charming town of St. Thomas, Ontario, and requires in-person attendance.

  
 
What you bring to the team
  • Provide oversight and coordination for project schedules, design development, and quality assurance activities through coordination with the local Project Management company and internal stakeholders.
  • Facilitate coordination meetings, prepare agendas and meeting minutes, and support project decision-making activities.
  • Coordinate and support development, monitoring, and risk-based adjustment of project milestone programs including permitting, design, procurement, contracting, and construction activities.
  • Assist with implementation of schedule recovery and acceleration initiatives when required.
  • Support preparation of monthly cost reports, supplementary work reviews, and claims evaluations.
  • Coordinate supplementary work and claims review processes while ensuring compliance with project controls and commercial requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation, development, and maintenance of project dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Support KPI tracking, project dashboard development, performance reporting, and executive stakeholder communications throughout project execution.
  
 
What makes you stand out
  • College Diploma in Architectural Technology, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience supporting construction project coordination activities, including co-op experience.
  • Experience in scheduling, supplier management, project management, or construction management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience using project scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Concur, and SAP is considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Attractive Remuneration: The expected competitive compensation range for this position is 62,840-78,550 CAD annually, which includes base pay and target amount of short term incentive plan.
