The Contract Management Engineer will support contract administration within a large-scale battery industrial construction project. This role is crucial for ensuring contract compliance, managing contract deliverables, and serving as the liaison between contractors, subcontractors, and project management teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of contract terms, construction processes, and cost controls and will work closely with the Construction Project Manager to monitor contract execution and resolve issues.

How you will CELLebrate
|
• Oversee the full lifecycle of contracts, from initial drafting through to execution, modifications, and close-out processes.
• Implement and update contract templates to standardize processes and ensure consistency across all project contracts.
• Provide guidance to project teams on contract terms, conditions, and obligations to facilitate effective execution.
• Monitor and evaluate all change orders, ensuring proper alignment with contracts.
• Maintain accurate records of changes and support financial teams in updating project budgets accordingly.
• Manage contract claims by gathering and documenting evidence, preparing submissions, and coordinating with legal counsel when necessary.
• Support the Construction Project Manager in resolving claims to avoid escalation and maintain productive contractor relationships.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors regarding contractual questions, changes, and obligations.
• Facilitate communication between contractors and project management to ensure timely responses and smooth contract execution.
• Conduct periodic compliance reviews of contracts to verify adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze contract data to identify trends, track performance metrics, and provide insights that help optimize contract management practices.
• Generate detailed reports on contract milestones, potential risks, and any discrepancies, presenting findings to project leadership.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in contract management workflows and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes affecting contract management in the construction and industrial sectors.

What you need for our CELLebration
|
• 3-5 years of experience in contract management within large construction or industrial projects, preferably in the battery or manufacturing sector.

• Experience working specifically on large projects.
• Exceptional organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and coordination.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of contract law, construction processes, and project management principles.
• Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Able to work safely on an active construction site in accordance with the Health & Safety Plan.
• Can communicate in a professional manner with engineers, architects, and construction managers both verbally and in writing.
• Has high degrees of team orientation and social competence.
• Detail oriented and will diligently ensure that components of the project meet the overall goal.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Primarily on-site at construction projects with some time spent in the office for coordination and planning.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards related to large construction projects is an asset.
• Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) or Lean Six Sigma is an asset.
• Familiarity with construction project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) is an asset.
