Operations takes care of all production related activities within the battery cell production. Our responsibilities vary from planning, constructing and rolling out the forthcoming battery cell factories. Furthermore, planning and implementing operating functions such as logistics, quality, production and plant management is also key elements within the area of operations.

As the Cell Product Audit Expert in the Quality Laboratory, you will report directly to the Head of Laboratory. In this role, your expertise will be essential for conducting cell opening and disassembly, as well as coin cell preparation, and developing and refining testing methods. You will be instrumental in the planning, construction, ramp-up, and execution of the Tear Down Analysis. Analyzing and summarizing test results to support the Head of Laboratory in decision-making processes will also be a crucial part of your responsibilities, ensuring the smooth operation of related activities. You will collaborate with the Power Co Global Laboratory Network and experts in ZellCo Salzgitter, PowerCo HQ Salzgitter, and PowerCo Canada to continuously develop and enhance standards and processes pertinent to the Standard Factory concept.

1. Quality Control Testing: Conduct routine and non-routine Tear Down Analyses on in-process and finished products to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
2. Conduct routine and non-routine Coin Cell Preparation and Testing on raw materials to ensure compliance with quality specifications. 
3. Data Analysis: - Analyze test data and generate comprehensive reports on product quality.
4. Utilize statistical tools to evaluate product consistency and performance. 
5. Troubleshooting: Identify and investigate quality issues, determine root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
6. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality-related challenges.
7. Continuous Improvement: - Participate in quality improvement initiatives and projects to enhance product quality and laboratory efficiency.
8. Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in Lithium Battery Cell Tear Down Analyses and Coin Cell Preparation. 
9. Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment to ensure accurate testing results. 
10. Assist in procuring laboratory supplies and equipment. 
11. Provide training and guidance to laboratory staff on testing procedures and quality standards. 

• Master’s degree or higher in electrochemistry, chemical engineering or comparable studies. 
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of electrochemistry and comprehensive understanding of automotive batteries.
• Knowledge of analytical instruments, principle, and application (Glovebox, Potentiostat, Battery Cycler, Cell Opening Tools and Procedures...).
• Good laboratory understanding, good communication and presentation skills. 
•  At least 3-years’ experience in analysis laboratory. 
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Language: Fluent in English.
• Technical Proficiency: Very good skills in MS Office.
