2 Scope, objective and relevance of position:
2.1 The function is responsible for blue collar team management, goal setting on shopfloor, performance monitoring and review, feedback to employee.
2.2 The function is responsible to ensure working safety in daily work.
2.3 The function ensures the product quality requirement can be achieved.
2.4 The function ensures the goal of equipment utilization can be reached.
2.5 The function is responsible for compliance with VDA/Lean/EHS audit requirements.
2.6 The function ensures personnel qualification. Proposing qualification measures, supporting them and organising it based on individual and team qualification necessities.
2.7 The function is responsible to fulfill PowerCo compliance and integrity code.
2.8 The function is responsible for organising production resources as personnel, machines, materials and in general operative resources based on rentability and production plan criteria.
2.9 The function is responsible for production preparation of foreman office, rest room and shopfloor production assist tool management.
2.10 The function is responsible for production consumable material stock control and ordering.
2.11 The function is responsible for supporting creation, reviewing and updating production documentation as for example, standard work sheet creation support and feedback to Operation engineer team.
2.12 The function is assuring communication and information flow among different departements.
2.13 The function is participating in production operators recruitment process.
2.14 The function supports budget planning. The function follows-up and control production expenses in his production area to indentify deviations and supporting engineering in applying required measures to meet cost targets.
2.15 The function is ensuring maintenance tasks within the production team or assuring specialized team to carry out maintenance in the area of control.
3. Range of responsability:
3.1 The function is responsible for blue collar team management to ensure company rules are followed. Technical and disciplinary leader.
3.2 The function is responsible for daily operation tasks on shopfloor to fulfill daily production plan. And in case of unplanned situations is responsible to reorganise production activities or applying alternative plan.
3.3 The function is responsible for production standard implementation on shopfloor.
3.4 The function is responsible to timely feedback deviations to engineer for standard improvement.
3.5 Takes part in 2nd level problem solving together with other cross function departments, like Quality or Process engineering.
3.6 The function is responsible to create continuous improvement working environment.
3.7 The function is decision maker for shopfloor activities.
3.8 The function is responsible for maintaining competence improvement to meet business requirement.
4. Key tasks and responsabilities:
4.1 Safety at work:
Health and safety of the workforce. To ensure blue collars are working meeting safety regulations to aviod any accident.
4.2 Staff management:
Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members that allows for disagreement over ideas, conflict and expeditious conflict resolution, and the appretiation of diversity as well as cohesiveness, support, and working effectively together to enable each employee and the department to succeed.
Consciously create a workplace culture that is consistent with the overall organization's and that emphasizes the identified mission, vision, guiding principles, and values of the organization.
Provide oversight and direction to the employees in the operating unit in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities.
Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. Delegate responsibility and expect and regular feedback.
To lead production operators team using a performance management and development process that provides an overall context and framework to encourage employee contribution and includes goal setting, feedback, and performance development planning.
Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action, with the assistance of Human Resources, when necessary.
4.3 KPI and routine work:
Plan and implement systems that perform the work and fulfill the mission and the goals of the department efficiently and effectively.
Plan and allocate resources to effectively staff and accomplish the work to meet departmental KPIs.
Plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, efficiency, and output.
Lead production operators team to meet the organization's expectations and goal accomplishment.
Maintain transparent communication. Appropriately communicate organization information through section meetings.
Lead section team to solve deviation in production process according to standard, identify the reason and define the countermeasure, Escalate when necessary.
Dealing with the interface problem with the other departments.
4.4 Staff training and qualification:
Train new employees to meet the qualification matrix.
Develop with production engineers a production operators training plan and to assure plan execution and assure operators individual development.
Cultivate everyone's enthusiasm for learning.
4.5 Workplace 5S:
Responsible to assure production area 5S to maintain company 5S standard. Also, responsible of maintaining side areas 5s company standards.
4.6 Process material and tools:
Production material gathering, try out and finalization, stock control and purchasing.
5. Interfaces partners:
Internal: Production engineers, Production leads and Managers, Equipment planning, Process engineers, Maintenance, Quality, Industrial engineer and Production system.
External: suppliers (equipment, software suppliers.. PowerCo suppliers in general).
